Indeed you are ILLOGICAL.

Generals do not formulate Air Force staff Qualitative Requirements.

Get to understand the working of the Forces before giving categorical Oracle like statements.
Gererals or Air Marshals whoever wrote the requirments/ defending the import decision .. The Logic of buying Low Quality Import but not an eqivalent or better Quality Inhouse Production is Absurd..

The Logic of ASQR(HTT-40) Vs ASQR( Imported Trainer) sounds Solid on the top unless HTT-40 has a diffrent story otherwise

One does not formulate GSQR/ ASQR keeping any specific foreign equipment in mind.

Inputs are from various directorates.

And these inputs from the directorates emanate right from the desk of the GSO 1s. And that means more than half the AHQ are involved.

That is a huge number to be convinced to formulate inputs that aim for any specific foreign product.

So, what you wish to claim is a indeed nigh impossible.

The calim is not the exactly final product... Pilatus Trainer was secleted after RFP which had an ASQR if that was the same as the one issues for HAL then there is no question..

The Issue is ASQR of Import product (as issued in RFP) is way lower than the one issued for HAL hence it is not a level playing field and lopsided against Indian Manufacturer

The same thing is being played for Arjun Tank Vs T-90 and LCA Vs equvaent aircraft
