The phillipines is not at war with China, why not buy this instead, absolutely the best-looking attack helicopter out there.
You have to be able to reproduce it first... no engines remember.

Philippine air chief says Italy will provide attack helicopters

By Michael Cohen and JDW Correspondent James Hardy
7/20/2012

Italy is in pole position to provide Manila with 10 attack helicopters, Philippine Air Force (PAF) chief Lieutenant General Lauro Catalino Dela Cruz has said.

Gen Dela Cruz visited Italy on his way back from the UK's Farnborough Airshow to look at some of the weaponry. "Hopefully we will have them by the end of the year," he said in a statement.

While not identifying the specific model, Gen Dela Cruz could be referring to the AW129 Mangusta, which AgustaWestland now markets overseas as the T129 after signing a co-production deal with Turkey's Aselsan and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).

Other options include the AW119 Ke (Koala enhanced): a single-engined utility helicopter that can be armed with rocket launchers; a twin 7.62 mm machine gun pod; 12.7 machine gun pod; anti-tank missiles and air-to-air missiles, and the attack version of the PZL Swidnik W-3 Sokol. AgustaWestland acquired the Polish company in January 2010.

AgustaWestland did not respond to a request for comment.

This article......PIA | Philippine Information Agency | PAF Chief visits Cebu as part of 65th founding anniversary

It says....
In addition, Dela Cruz also recommended purchasing N-24 Nomads aircraft and two light lift aircrafts to replace the existing F-27 Fokker......

*****

The question is N-24 Nomad aircraft, so Dela Cruz is talking about old/ second hand aircraft or new once?

For new aircraft PAF have to wait till 2018.
It could be N-24 Nomad second hand aircraft.

OR new N-18 Nomad.

A correction here, new N-18 Nomad aircraft will be ready by 2014 if everything goes as per the schedule.

There are no news about new N-24 Nomad, as of yet.

Philippines looking at SA as option for attack helicopters

Philippines looking at SA as option for attack helicopters

A spokesman for the Philippines Air Force (PAF) has been quoted as identifying South Africa as one of the countries that are under consideration to supply his service with new attack helicopters. South Africa is one of the few countries to have developed a dedicated attack helicopter, the Denel Rooivalk (Kestrel, in English).

Dhruv should be of the lowest cost, I assume...

Considering Philippines' economic projection and its constitution, cost has to be the key factor. Really worth a thought, IMO
