If one recalls how Jaipal Reddy the Petroleum Minister in the UPA Govt was summarily dismissed without any reason ascribed. It is also well known that he was trying to clean up the Ministry.

But now, the cosy club has been caught and the peddling has been exposed.

Good work that crony capitalism is being caught by its neck.

How? It is the govt. who put secret agents to find out the nexus.

Instead they should be praising govt. for taking actions.

The usual detractors where casting aspersions by blaming government for not naming the companies.

    1. The argument was that only very few companies are related to this trade, so it is not difficult to name them.

My take is if all of YOU know that only handful companies are involved then even the Ministry would have knew the same before laying the trap. Therefore their previous allegations that BJP is hand and glove with companies/Reliance has no conviction but was a cheap conspiracy theory (Crores and Crores :toilet:).

    2. Why GoI should name the companies when investigation is already on and media has already mentioned the name of one person detained related to Reliance.

TOI exclusive on corporate espionage: What triggered the crackdown - The Times of India

    :thumb:  Good!!

A lot of rats need to be cleaned, happy this is being taken seriously.

I remember when Ajit Doval gave sent a notice about the Arihant, and secrets being leaked...even that order were leaked out, that is the state. This action is just the beginning. I hope in time more rats from different areas will be caught and disposed off.

Interestingly the Delhi police was picked over CBI.

Only the small fishes will get punished, nobody will dare to touch the biggies. Delhi CP almost p*$$*d in his pants when he was asked to name the corporate houses.

Delhi Police was picked up over the CBI because CBI guys can go soft on the rich guys and few DP EOW or Crime Branch guys may be genuinely willing to bring this case to a final conclusion for the sake of perks and promotion.

It seems lot of journalists involved this time too like radia tapes. Are promoters of Hindustan Times on Jubilant Energy board? Are these Bhartia's related to Shobhna Bhartia?

The Delhi police meeting with PM seems to be the same meeting where bassi was called to PMO isn't it. Kudos to Mr.bassi for giving nothing out, he gave the journos exactly what they wanted to hear the hot topic of that week I.e church vandalism.

Its less about the corporates and more about officials who dare leak info for a few thousand rupees. The GoI needs to put fear in the hearts of such people. Essentially, a deterrence.

As for big corporations, nothing will happen to them as hurting them in a significant way means hurting the economy. Same as any country. Were any I-Bankers punished after the 2008 in the US?
