After the movie comes the serial . After seeing the first two episodes of the serial one can say that it does not peddle pseudosecularism and plainly shows the mughals as the plunderers and marauders that they were . And with repeated cries of 'Har Har mahadev' the serial is shot in the arm for hindutva nationalists .
To be honest some of the incidents in the serial are fictitious just like the movie , but in a sea of fake secularism in films at least this is one serial where mughal emperor Aurangzeb is shown as villain and the hindu marathas as valiant defenders of the traditions of the land .
As a marathi brahmin ( same caste as Peshwa Bajirao ) I wish the makers of the serial best of luck
