Performance of Gandhis in LokSabha | News of Delhi

Mother son duo do not seem to take Parliament seriously and talk about Parliamentary Democracy.

I never used to think highly of Varun Gandhi, but after seeing him in the lokpal debates and other stuff, I think he is not your typical Gandhi. He is reasonably well informed.

yep I had that in mind. He, once turned away a Sikh gentleman from a BJP meeting in his constituency claiming it is only for Hindus, which is ironical because his mother is a Sikh, Father a Parsi.

He is a political opportunist, and is pretty much par for the course but slowly he is learning how to handle his image.

Param , Pilibhit seems to have been an aberration or the subsequent action against him seems have brought him back on track.

His whole conduct during the Jan Lokpal bill was in stark contrast to other MPs cutting across party lines. He was the 1st MP to introduce Anna's version as a private bill and also he was fielded by BJP to speak in the debate in LS. In fact his speech showed enormous maturity and a thinking mind.

Mama Gandhi is not active in LS because she had a medical situation and busy in her inner coterie meetings and Amul Baby is busy with his "a day in the dalit's hut" programme.

I would have preferred a Chinese invasion.

But I am rather surprised to see that the image building PR exercise has mesmerised a lot well educated people also. If this turns out to be a success I fear I might become a Rahul supporter.

PS: Modi is hundred times better.

One cannot blame Mrs SG for not asking questions. She is there to suggest answers to her minions, who can then weather the flak. Gives a clean image thereof. And anyway, she is sick. Give her a chance to recover.

RG has not shown any intellect and hence it is best that he does not ask questions or even participate in a debate. He is good a soliloquy where there is no opposition or anyone 'catching' him for lack of knowledge and thereby making him an object of ridicule.

I would always go with Motilal Nehru, rather than the son.

One reason for the silence could be that both SG and RG have a poor command of the language and they are are so insulated from real life that they need advisors to guide them every step of the way. Plus no amount of prepared speeches can help you in a Parliamentary debate.
