A towering persona in Indian classical arts. He'll be sorely missed, but his legacy lives on forever.

Indeed a twin blow to the indian classical music genre, the passing away of Gangubai Hangal little over a year ago and now Pt Bhimsen Joshi. The world of Indian classical music has lost two of its most luminous stars.
