I agree that it is not wise to have a nuclear conflict especially between 2 countries that share the same water supply, the Chinese are the ones pushing the pakistani nuclear agenda, our nukes and missiles should all be designed with China in mind first.

Chinese are just testing the waters, trying to gauge/ascertain their strength and standing right now.

Pakistan is well known when it comes to nuclear proliferation - this whole nuclear deal is more of a headache for the US and the West and not India per se.

For us Pak possessing a bomb is as bad as Pak possessing a dozen bombs. This is a chance for us to pressurize US into saying you did nothing for us by getting us a waiver and for US to pressurize us on Iran nuke programme.

Our Nuclear arsenal consists largely of Fission Bombs.

Pakistani nukes are India specific and India centric, whereas Indian nukes is based on credible minimum deterrence and no first use, it is based on our geo-strategic environment. Credible minimum deterrence, has credible before minimum, which means the emphasis is on credible then on minimum, keeping into view no first use policy, which means that our nukes have to survive nuclear attack and still they are enough to give our enemy unacceptable damage.

Indian never explain what is the number to the meaning "credible minimum deterrence" we refuse to give then number, it will change according to time and circumstances.

as far as topic at hand is concern, Indian nukes stockpile if our national secret and it is well kept secret.

we are far ahead of Pakistan in nuclear tech and that is fact and as per as stockpile is concern only few people have privilege to that information.

India is now planning to fight two front war, hope our planners are now thinking in terms credible minimum deterrence for two front war too.
