We need more to defeat offending bordering enemy and their terrorist network within and outside the country. But good to know it is on track.

They will beg more. Unfortunately for them Saudi will not pony up anymore. India really needs to increases its defence allocation to 2.8-3% of GDP now.

India needs to bring its Defence budget to a healthy 2% of GDP instead of critically low 1.8% right now. From then one it should remain constant at 2% and the increase in budget will be fuelled by economic growth. If India grows at 9% sustainably then we will have quite a large budget few years down the line.

It already is close to 2%. We need to hike it closer to 3%
