Is there a Coach factory in Pakistan or are they being imported.

Both India and Pakistan have continued to have broad gauge which is pretty rare as most of the countries have opted for Std. Gauge. To persist with this you need to have your own domestic manufacturing base otherwise it will be very expensive to keep on importing.
Yes risalpur locomotive factory..they manufacture coaches and can also repair the locomotives+manufacturing parts as well

in the past deal with a chinese firm was struck for local manufacturing of locomotives in 2006..but with this govt the project is ruined

as i said before umar asad has alrready suggested of turning risalpur locomotive factory into a manufacturing base

Indian mumbai metro trains are also chinese maal
farhan those are the extra coaches, not locomotives.
The additional coaches, to be bought from a firm based in Nanjing, China, would ensure a "future proof" system, which will be able to handle the growing demand for 20 years, said an official, adding that it was initially planned that extra coaches should be bought five years after starting the operation. But, if they were bought now, Metro One officials claimed, it would save them about Rs 300 crore.
