Re: National bird sends 6 more to their 72

For Afghanistan, in the short-term it is a positive. This will probably mean more Taliban in-fighting for positions of power and more attacks on the PA. In the long term, it doesn't make a difference.

I don't think it affects India. I am one of the few members who thinks that the TTP threat to India is exaggerated. Firstly because the army/ISI has lost virtually all control over them; and secondly because unlike the Afghan border, the Indian border is fenced and patrolled by soldiers, aircraft, drones etc. The Indians are prepared. 1000 or 10000 militants won't make any difference to them.
What about border with Nepal and strong presence of ISI iOn Nepal border and Bangladesh border

Imran Khan not happy with death of Mehsud. Proud of you son.
This is the same guy with whom the Pakistani army was fighting and have lost scores of men and Imran Khan has a problem with his death.

With leaders like this no wonder Pakistan has such a bright future.

Report: MujahideenShura Council of N. Waziristan led by Hafiz Gul Bahadur has declared it will hold Pak Army responsible for the killing of TTP leader Hakimullah Mehsud.

Jihadi sources: Muj Shura Council is "calling for a complete evacuation of the area... which may portend a clash with the Pakistani army.

Hakimullah was not all that bad for India.
Singh, in a way, since he is taking on PA, ISI and Pakistani People, but at the end of the day he was Talibani, so it was against the our interests from the very first day.

Let the Pakistanis kill themselves, we are not concern. After all what they just getting what they nurished, trained, armed and exported to the world. If you want to play with fire, you might get burned and that is what Pakistanis are getting, they are now burning from their own fire.

We were not supporting him, neither his actions were against us. We couldn't, in our best case scenario. have screwed up Pakistan as much as their stupid policies have. We should just sit back and let them kill each other.

One Mehsud is killed and more would come just like shark teeth.

Pakistan is the Shark and Terrorists is its teeth. Target the shark and teeth would not come.

Zaid Hamid is a despicable human being. If there was a nexus, the whole of Pakistan would be burning right now.

To me this killing is good. The more the GoP, whatever that means, goes against the TTP, they more it will cause enimosity between them. The vicious cycle of killing and counter killings will spiral out and more of our enemies will be dead.

Asian Defence News: Pakistani terrorist Hakee-mullah killed just 1 km away from Pakistani military has a base and airstrip

Is Pakistan Army incompetent and lying again just like in the Osama Bin Laden case?

Screw Paqistan. It's incredible that America is able to kill wanted terrorists in Pakistan, which the useless and rogue Pakistani army would never be able to do in a million years. Pakistanis should ask their government and army, why they can't stop terrorists taking over a quarter of their country and how it's easy for the islamic terrorists to bomb army and ISI bases weekly around the country.

HAKIMULLAH MEHSUD RARELY SPENT MORE THAN SIX HOURS IN ONE SPOT - BUT THAT WAS ENOUGH TIME FOR A US DRONE TO STRIKE

For years, Hakimullah Mehsud, the long-haired leader of the Pakistan Taliban, took all possible precautions. He seldom spent more than more than six hours in any one spot, shuttling between a string of safe houses through Pakistan's lawless tribal region.
But as negotiations with the Pakistan government loomed, it seems one of the world's most wanted men made a fatal mistake - he relaxed, assuming that upcoming peace talks meant he was safe, and lingered at his new house.
It was just long enough for one of the US drones that constantly linger above the tribal region's mountainous skyline to find its mark -firing two missiles into Mehsud's 4x4 as it pulled inside the gate of his home on Friday.
"He was at a meeting at a nearby mosque to discuss the negotiations," a Pakistani security source briefed on the killing told The Sunday Telegraph. "He was killed as he got back to his house, probably just as he was getting out of his car, inside the walls of the compound."
So came the death of one of the most capable of the Taliban's commanders, a man who, in Washington's eyes at least, had earned every cent of the $5 million price tag put on his head. For not only had Mehsud waged terror against his fellow Pakistanis, he had also helped to mastermind the single deadliest strike against the CIA in the last quarter century, when a suicide bomber posing as an al-Qaeda informant blew himself up at a base in Afghanistan in 2009, killing seven CIA agents.
