Pakistan should fulfill its part of UN resolutions before pointing fingers at India, say Kashmiri leaders

    Published July 16, 2016
    SOURCE: ANI

Exiled Kashmiri leaders in Geneva and Brussels have criticised Pakistan for not fulfilling its part of the UN resolutions on Kashmir and have said that Islamabad has no right to point fingers at India when it itself remains in violation of the resolutions it so frequently flags and talks about.

Mr Jamil Maqsood, Secretary, Foreign Affairs of the United Kashmir People’s National Party, who is currently based in Brussels, said, “Since the Pakistan Army continues to occupy large parts of Kashmir in defiance of the UN resolutions, it has no right to talk about the implementation of the UN resolutions whose first condition is the de-militarisation of areas held by the Pakistan Army.”

Clearing doubts over the UN resolutions on Kashmir, the senior Kashmiri leader from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, said that the UN resolution is actually very clear. There are three steps – they were sequential and they were conditional – The very first step was that Pakistan was supposed to demilitarise to the satisfaction of this UN body that was to be established.

The second, conditional upon the UN being satisfied with this demilitarisation, India was also supposed to demilitarise as a second step with a presence being permitted to defend itself against Pakistani aggression.

The third, having both of those two steps taken place in satisfaction, in sequence to these preferences of the UN, then the plebiscite would be held. So, all those Pakistanis who are so upset about the plebiscite that never happened, they have their own government to blame because Pakistan never fulfilled the first condition.”

Islamabad’s hue and cry on Kashmir and its constant “harping on the UN resolutions has no basis, because historically, it is in defiance of the resolutions,” said the Kashmiri leader.

When asked about the relevance of the demilitarisation of POK, Mr. Maqsood said, “Of course, that isn’t only a prerequisite, but also a stipulation set in the truce agreement. These things are very much relevant today as well.”

He added that Islamabad has no right to point fingers at India as “Pakistan itself is an illegal occupier and has no legal status on Kashmir as per the United Nations resolutions.”

Adding that Pakistan forces from PoK and Gilgit Baltistan must be withdrawn, Maqsood said, “Unless Pakistan withdraws its troops from POK and Gilgit there can be no movement on the UN resolutions.”

Another leading exiled Kashmiri leader Sardar Shaukat Ali Kashmiri also laid emphasis on the withdrawal of troops from PoK. Describing the Pakistan Army as tribal invaders, he said, “Instead of meeting with the stipulations of the UN resolutions and the Truce Agreement, Pakistan has done her best to stigmatise the rights of the people of the erstwhile state. In this regard, her hue and cry is no more than crocodile tears.”

Kashmiri added that “A country that has refused fundamental rights in its held parts of the state is advocating rights of the people of Kashmir valley is something highly condemnable.”

Col. (Retd) Wajahat Hasan Mirza, Chairman of Gilgit Baltistan Thinkers Forum, currently based in Geneva said, “Pakistan must withdraw its troop without any iota of doubt. Rather than blaming India, Pakistan has to vacate our territory as per UNCIP (United Nations Commission for India and Pakistan).”

He added that “Pakistan wants to capture Kashmir valley on religious grounds”.

Col. Wajahat Hasan Mirza said the ” tragedy is that not many in the media and diplomatic services know the exact details of the Security Council resolutions that Pakistan talks about all the time. Instead of getting targeted India should push Pakistan to withdraw its troops from POK and Gilgit as mandated by step one of the United Nations Resolutions. It is Pakistan which is in Violation of the U.N. resolutions as long as its army stands on the soil of POK and Gilgit.”

What significance does plebiscite hold today? Does it have any relevance after so much time? Do we have any obligation to fulfil commitments of partition made at independence over false and foreign narrative of Hindu-Muslim hatred? Isn't present India a proof countering those old narrative and Pakistan opposite of it?

What's the problem in outright rejection of what's supposedly an unfinished agenda of Partition as per Paki establishment?

I know that, I am not accusing you.

Yes, do smell the coffee please.
    Listen to this lecture.

We will continue to support Kashmir untillthe matter is solved.

My remark was towards the Kashmiri leaders in exile. We don't care what they say, these cowards left the country and brought their kids to safe heavens. Let them cry a river, write books and cash India out.

    LOL

It's really funny that low life Pakis like you keep harping about so called "plebiscite" when the first UN condition was to fully pull back all Pak forces outta Kashmir.Recently your TV anchors came on Indian TV and when asked about specific of UN resolution they were clueless since they were sent dictated by ISI like a child.Paki anchors got humiliated big time due to their ignorance.

Recently Kashmir did come to vote and it was about 80% which was one of the best voting ever. They chose their own govt which is with India and it irked Pakis.Recently UN kept out "Kashmir" out of disputed issues which was a slap on Pakis.

Recently you Pakis were humiliated in UN since Pakistan is the biggest Human Rights violator and a Terrorist state itself and killed 3 Million Bangladeshis,100,00 Kashmirs, 10,000+ Baloch and 80,000 killed since WOT where Pak Army butchered MOSTLY civilians of it's own people who are Muslims.

Pakistan is the BIGGEST BUTCHER of Muslims based on facts.

So kashmir knows where it would be safe and hence it's going to be in India forever.Because of this Kashmir obsession you lost Bangladesh and now Baloch Freedom Struggle is being known even more and more to the world. You would be divided in more parts due to this Kashmir obsession.

Coming to this speech by a clueless professor from JNU, she don't know much as she kept reading from some piece of papers and often fumbling in her speech. This shows she is not well aware of the basic facts at all and few people who kept clapping were in the background. Also she is no representative of anything other than working in a college which is notorious of anti-nationals.The reason JNU doesn't have a positive image is because of such stupid dumb professors who bring shame to the cadre.Due to Indian Democracy she is alive or else in Pakistan she would be resting in piece as baloch Freedom Fighters are doing.

Why dont you post below video since Balochistan freedom struggle is catching up in the world.

Well damn you've realized that arguing with these damn sand goblins only leads to oppression olympics and circle jerking from the other side haven't you? The only damn way your gonna get the agitators to shut the hell up is:

    >if you manually break into their houses
    >beat them up with cricket bats and knock them out
    >tie them up so they can't move
    >buy a whole pig from supermarket
    >cut open the pig
    >shove them inside pig via belly
    >stitch up belly
    *here comes the fun part:bounce::bounce:*

    >cut open small hole in pig
    >get match from matchbox and light it
    >throw lit match in hole
    >wait until porky/JNU agitator starts to squirm inside
    >get a shovel from your garage
    >swing shovel as hard you can
    >do that a couple more times and upload videos of you doing so on the deep web using Tor

Its that simple if Hindus in Kairana were willing to take similar measures no one would screw with them and the Muslims wouldn't be trying to harass and rape them I'm sorry if it disgusts some of you guys but its the truth sorry[IMG]

    For what.....?

    JNU will always help Pakistan.

That is why Indian govt designed it in this way.

Even idiot Modi love to keep it in this way.

    Nothing new here.

Mark my words, a$$hole Indian govt won't make any changes in JNU, what so ever.

And there are 'political' reasons in it.

    Extremely important point.

One wonder how much Indians spent on Kashmir since 1947.

Money goes in the state, after it, even Indian govt can't ask, what happened to those money.

And no one knows what happens next.

May be that is why Indian politicians not happy to solve Kashmir issue.

You feather-brain, not only has Pak to withdraw ALL its forces including tribals used during Operation Gulmarg where your forces under Brig Akbar Khan invaded Kashmir in spite of the standstill agreement you jokers signed with the Maharaja of J&K, but you signed the Resolution under Chapter VI of the UN Charter which makes it NON-ENFORCEABLE.

Why didn't you clowns sign it under Chapter VII which would have made it enforceable?

Now you go cry a river because you clueless clowns can keep howling but Kashmir will remain with us till the sun becomes a red giant or till the stars start winking out signalling the end of the universe.

Try pork chops or sausages which may fire up your dying brain cells. Oh wait....Do you have any brain cells to begin with? The only thing your head seems to be doing is to keep those ears of yours apart. Jeeeez!
