ISLAMABAD: India on Wednesday offered to export electricity to Pakistan, stating that they are willing to help Pakistan deal with its energy shortfall, DawnNews reported.

According to Commerce Secretary Zafar Mehmood, the Indian offer will soon come under consideration and discussions will be held on how much electricity should be imported from India and at what rate it will be supplied.

Pakistan and India will hold trade secretary level talks during April 27-28 in Islamabad. The meeting is part of the resumed dialogue process between the two South Asian neighbours.

Soon numb/senseless Mehngai Mohan (not so) Singh (Our PM), Italians and their coterie will sell India to the dogs; and then retreat to their respective safe havens abroad, leaving us to lurch in the cesspool of chaos!

we dont have spear electricity for Pak, we cannot fulfill our own domestic demand. We have power cuts in Delhi. Now situation will be ok, as we dont need AC all the time.

BTW in case we sell it to Pak, then please take advance payment, as i dont trust Pakistanis.

Wow. Pakistan's power generation is only 13GW.

I know Pak is a small country, but for a population of 180million that power is far too less per capita.

Comparatively India generates 177GW. Ah! Well.

Anyway FYI, Karnataka's power demands are over 10GW a day with Bangalore alone requiring nearly 4GW. Funny that. Delhi needs 5GW.

What are they going to pay us with? The fake Indian currency they print there?
There is no pacifist attitude towards Pakistan. They will use these windows to regroup and come back more rabid. Dont do business with them. Let them self destruct.

Charge much much more than the market rate! Don't charge them the same as you would charge Indian consumers!!

I really want to know the details of this deal, if it materializes.

Pakistan to buy electricity from India - India - DNA

Pakistan is in talks with India to import electricity, Power Minister Naveed Qamar has said.

He was speaking to reporters Saturday after commissioning a grid station in Tando Muhammad Khan district of Sindh province, The News reported.

The minister also said a Pakistani delegation will visit Iran May 28 to finalize on a 1,000 MW project with Tehran.

i am facing power cut in Delhi, therefore we should not sell them any power, first generate for our requirement then sell it to others.

you can also view it in another way in the future India will be generating a lot more
electricity from Dams, solar, wind and nuclear. To get into to the Pakistani market is
a goodwill gesture that goes a long way it creates a market and it could improve ties
if it reaches a point where Pakistan has increased dependence on India for their
energy security. The TAPI pipeline already started this process.

Its impossible for India to send electricity, it'll take ages to connect the grids; hell, iirc, our national grid is not even complete.
