Pakis MOD deputy has visited Armiya-2016 exgibition and forum 2 weeks ago and gave a press release about what do they want to buy from Russia.
Special interest they showed in purchasing Su-35SK in Chinese complectation package and Su-34 to be able to perform 1000-1500 km deep strike missions and SEAD/DEAD.
Pakis tould Sputnik they will try to negotiate Russian MOD and UAC for them.
There were no even word about Russians will ever agree to negotiate them for this.

Your PAF has constantly emphasised that their doctrine is based on and is completely focussed on single-engine fighter jets. Then why would you go for a twin-engine Su-35?

PAF have never operated a twin-engine combat aircraft. Why not go for more J-10s, F-16s or even Mirage-2000s?

PAF requires a 4.5 gen fighter with range and payload hence change in doctrine to induct a heavier fighter. Su-27 was evaluated earlier as well as the Chinese J-11.

PAF have never operated a twin-engine combat aircraft. Why not go for more J-10s, F-16s or even Mirage-2000s?

Wrong, PAF inducted the twin engined J-6/FT-6 in the seventies and later the AQ-5 FGA which became the first nuclear capable fighter in our history.
These Mig-19 variants were retired in 2011, replaced by JF-17.

If you want 2-component Heavy/Light fighter park like Americans have, then you need to go for Su-35S and J-10, rather than Su-35S and F-16 for the sake of some unification and the same engine in perspective that will give you substantial economy.

Good for Pakistan, but please remember Russians are not fools like Americans, that they will give you weapons for free.

They are also not fools to give you 15-20 jets and allow chinese to copy it.

We are producing that. Dual seater version is being produced and also work on BLOCK III has begun which would have AESA radar as well as more hard points and other features still we are also looking for other fighter jets for various roles. SU-35 is being negotiated and in future one bomber either SU-34 or JH-7 B can also come
