Pakistan: Iranians crossed border, killed 1 man, abducts another
.
.
QUETTA, Pakistan — Iranian security personnel crossed into southwest Pakistan on Sunday, shot to death one man and wounded another in an incident that could cause tension between the two countries, a Pakistani border official said.Iranian forces took the two men, apparently smugglers, from the Mazah Sar area of Baluchistan province back across the border, said Mir Zafar Bangulzai.
.
Pakistani border officials pursued them into Iran, retrieved the two men and brought them back to Pakistan, said Bangulzai. They also detained three Iranian border security personnel, he said. The incident occurred in a desolate area where the border is not clearly marked.
The man who was killed, Saeed Rigi, and the one who was wounded, his brother, Islam Rigi, were smugglers, said Bangulzai.
.
Tensions have flared periodically between Pakistan and Iran over Jundullah, an armed Sunni Muslim opposition group that has been fighting the Shiite Iranian government. Tehran has accused the group of operating along the border area in Baluchistan.Iran captured the group's leader, Abdulmalik Rigi, in 2010 on a flight from Dubai to Kyrgyzstan.
.
Bangulzai said the two men involved in Sunday's incident were not related to the Jundullah leader or connected to the militant group, but they were from his same tribe.

The Pakistanis use the Jundallah to foment trouble in Iranian Baluchistan. They undertake repeated forays.

So, it is not unusual to learn that the Iranians are also crossing over and giving the Pakistani a dose of their own medicine and fun!

Think about all the questions that will popup in the minds of our politicians: What will UN say? What will China do? How will US react? Would it disturb our neighbors and allies? Will the communists protest? Will the BJP support? Would Gandhi (real as well as present one) approve of this?

Its impossible to get the answers of all these questions at the same time. So we just watch the news and enjoy the show, without bothering to find the answers to our questions! Who wants these moral dilemmas!

BTW its not just the Americans, Afghans and the Iranians. If you see the composition of the Talibanis, then you can add a mix of Uzbeks, Kazaks, Chechens, Arabs etc. Let others have all the fun! :mad2:

I noticed it's always a "moral dilemma" for your leaders, like strategic alliances. Well some day they will learn to think and act like the big boys, when they realise they're already actually big boys themselves.

Aren't the series of incidents inside Pakistan "events?" It's a long series of parties out there. The Pakistanis must be deep in hang over now...

Why should India do the same when US/NATO/Afghans/Iranians are doing our dirty work...... 35,000 pakis killed since WOT.
Maybe the Singh should just send specific targets complete with pictures to Mr. Obama for drone targeting since India does not like to gets its hands dirty...

That has been India's "Strategy" everywhere and every time (with just one glorious exception). We hope that somebody else will do the dirty work for us. It is currently working in some fashion in Pakistan and we are hoping that it will work in Afghanistan as well. But my point is that all these cross-country folks are hunting the Pakistani residents that they want. What about our targets - the Dawoods, Hafiz etc? Should we allow these chaps to enjoy a luxurious life in Pakistan until they die naturally? Doesn't India have a moral obligation to its citizens to show hell to these scums on Planet Earth itself? Even if somebody else hunts them down, will justice be served, as far as Indians are concerned?

That's right, and it will take bold decisions by our leaders....and we can't expect remote controlled softies like MMS to even think of it. Our govt is busy saving their own seats, refusing Lokpal and eating tax money so how can we expect to do something to tackle Paki menace because the decision would be purely based on national intrest above party politics. So we can't really go and destroy the way US/NATO is capable of... right now let others do the stuff and we FIRST strengthen our own defenses and leadership.... but the current govt is too shallow to think anything above party politics.
.
Sadly this same "elected" govt is responsible why Kasab/Afzal etc are still alive even after so many proofs they are living like a parasite on our hard earned tax money. When we can't punish those who are in our custody how can we think of Dawood/hafiz?
.
So the first step is to show the door to this corrupt govt...... you know what we need to do :whip:
