On the edge: Furnace oil stock used up, massive blackout feared – The Express Tribune

as i said before one major aspect in dealing with pak is to sit back and let them do it to themselves

IA , IAF etc only need some surgical actions and a lot of communicating and coordinating with allies

according to their own reports as given in Pak Herald Tribune, ref above, their nation is ( in their own
words ) on the verge of a maasive power crisis.and a massive blackout is feared.

The article was published online in the wee hours of the morning pak time so it hasnt had a chance to garner comments as yet .

Power shortage leads to 16-20 hours of loadshedding
Power shortage leads to 16-20 hours of loadshedding | Pakistan | Dunya News

Well 16- 20 hours of loadshedding in Pakistan :D. The Pak administration has slowly made the Pakis adapt to dark ages already in all its form.

Wont matter much for Pukes.

Some comments on the blackout news is hilarious!!

So, Pakistan which is already in Political Darkness is now plunging into REAL Darkness?

Should import Night Vision Devices urgently or get them as aid from the US.

Kerry will surely oblige.

We have coal fired thermal plants.
I don't think we use any oil fired furnaces.

Previously there were talks about Pakistan buying electricity from India but the have some conditions that they won't buy electricity generated from hydro-electric power stations at the dams they have objections.

Quite interesting, aren't they reaping the benefit of reduction in the price of global crude oil.

That's going on for many years. Benazir Bhutto made oil based power plants instead of coal or gas and Pakistan is paying for that mistake even today to oil prices. :pound: Recently there was massive corruption regarding private investment in power sector. ;)

your sarcasm is well received

one answer is that they have backlog payments which are massive and the creditors want to collect now
so the opresent oil price is no reflection of the previous situation of buildup of debts.

secondly , and this is my extrapolation , there is a lot more than currently meets the eye .... i think that pack
when it acquired nuke weapons and abilities had crossed a line set by some globally very important people ....they are now
set to do all they can and will do everything in their means until .......they are satisfied

so we are going to see a lot of stuff happen to pack which on the surface is contradictory and " should not"
be happening

stay alert for these interesting events .

the most hilarious news was the one when paki PM was not allowed to land in Iran because pakis had a debt to pay to iranians for providing fuel for their planes. it looks like they even dont fly out of their country on their own money (and this is a 1 year old story). the situation hasnt improved yet...
looks like saudi chachu has withdrawn his hands from the only islamic nuclear power....:pound:

Because they thought renaming their cities and military bases after Arab kings and leaders will guarantee free oil for life. Man, these people have no self esteem whatsoever.

Rolling blackouts began nation-wide in Pakistan in early 2008...The country's electricity problems are so severe that violent riots sometimes take place in some regions, including Punjab, the country's most populous province.[13]
An example of incompetent Pakistani management? Probably. Once again Pakistani government fails to deliver. Pakistan ought to concentrate on less religious fervour and more practical competence.

Irony of the situation in Bakiland is that their COAS is going around meeting heads of states(the guy is in UK this week) and they have oil shortage at home. What makes things worse is that oil prices are at the lowest and yet they are unable to buy sufficient oil.

If political space is consumed by military then how the hell politicians are supposed to manage the country.

And yet Bakis don't realise the irony they are living in.

Pakistanis, and Moslems generally, are hopelessly incompetent managers and organisers.
