Italy is blocking us in MTCR, China is blocking in NSG,
US, Russia and China are blocking in UNSC, most are blocking in APEC.
Everybody can see in whichever supernational body or organization, there's China, it would block India but they still want India to support in SAARC.

Chinese are taking Pakistanis for a ride and Pakistani leadership is projecting this as some sort civilizational victory to its people as always.

The most critical need for India from NSG was import of nuclear fuel from NSG members which it has obtained as part of NSG waiver thanks to USA.

This NSG waiver allows India to dedicate its limited 80K ton Uranium reserves specifically for Nuclear weapons and imported Uranium for India's civilian nuclear power plants.

Only thing NSG membership allows India is to export nuclear reactors to NSG states. Pakistani glee over this amusing as if export of nuclear rectors is going to impact India's strategic capabilities or its economy.

In the end its Pakistan that has to acquire nuclear fuel for its nuclear weapons program through illicit means and eventually have a smaller stockpile.

China is looking for war. The small neighbours of China are at great risk. India may also suffer from China's moves.

I advocate immediate counter moves - massive increase in acquisition of arms by India, military training to a large number of youth, and strengthening of civil defence.

It seems as though Pak is already a permanent member of the Security Counsel as they are doing whatever they want to do through their deeper than ocean friends by proxy!

The damn voting/veto system should be changed. One member can throw a spanner in the works like China is always doing. It should be majority vote. This way the Chinese and their Pakistani slaves can't hold the world to ransom.

From what I know, NSG is a permission to engage in nuclear trade.

Even if under some american pressure that the other members states agree to grant membership to Pakistan (Under american assurances of getting Pakistan to reduce its stockpiles and sign FMCT), this doesn't guarantee that Pakistan will get nuclear raw materials and technology from west.

The NSG membership will give Pakistan persimmon to engage in nuclear trade, but It doesn't force other nations to do nuclear trade with Pakistan if they don't wan't to do so. We also had these issues with others....ultimately, it was the trust factor that assured tech and raw materials.

If the Australian government refuses to sell raw materials, then NSG can neither ask nor force Australia to sell raw materials to Pakistan. The deal will solely be based on trust between Pakistan and other NSG members. Eventually Pakistan will be left with only China giving them what they want, which brings back to the question, why do they want NSG anyway? They are getting what they want from china already without NSG, even if they get NSG, hardly anyone in west trust Pakistan with nuclear tech, so they won't be getting anything from them.
