Well, what is happening here is kind of sad.

The J15 in the pictures posted by aimarraul is certainly genuine, the photographer of these pictures was approached by Chinese officials and got his computer and other equipments confiscated for taking the pictures of J15.

The Chinese have got so many programmes . J10 A / B ,J 11, J 15 ,JF 17, J 20

SO what is surprising is that why Pakistan is asking or getting ONLY JF 17

Are J10 J11 not good enough OR worse Pakistan is getting the DISCARDED and UNWANTED JF 17

case is very simple: by now, only JF17 is allowed to be exported by PLA.

J10a and J11B are the backbone of PLAAF now.

the development of J10B and J15 seem to have be finished ,but both have not entered into mass-service now yet.

J20 is still being developed....

What happened to the extra-modern production lines that were churning out JF-17 from PAC, Kamra that they have to beg 50 of the jets from China, the Pakistanis were dreaming to churn out 24-36 jets per annum. Any hiccups there?

Or just that China showing BIG heart and donating it in charity?

Pakistan is only assembling JF 17 at PAC Kamra.

However the bigger question is regarding the upgrades of JF 17 radar as well its BVR capability which is non existent ; right now

Similarly the RD 93 engine was to be replaced with a Chinese engine .

looks like PAF will accept anything that comes FREE

PAF is expecting US sanctions and the non availability of spares for F 16

They can't deliver it any faster than Russia can provide the engines.
China has already received supplies of 100 RD-93 engines 2 years ago. There are only 30 JF-17s flying as of today.

So, engines aren't the main problem.

Pakistan to build 50 more Stealth JF-17 Thunders

Other than the simple fact that Beijing is investing $30 Billion in Pakistan in the next fie years. That amount is real with solid infrastructure development projects like dams, power-plants, freeways, and housing. To boot Beijing and Islamabad will now be jointly upgrading the Block 2 version of the JF-17 Thunders which have stealth capability, that knowledge recently boosted by studying the downed US chopper. After US sanction on Beijing and Islamabad, China and Pakistan began developing the relatively cheap multipurpose fighter in 1999 and Pakistan. Pakistan is planning to build 500 of these fighters, and keep 250 of them for itself. The rest will be exported. Pakistan already has two squadrons of the fighters–the second one inculcated earlier this year. A news report recently did mention that Pakistan's production facilities have been boosted to allow the rapid production of the 50 fighters. The PAF will produce 50 fighters per year–though additional production lines are planned. The technology is also being used for a commercial aircraft manufacturing. Both the governments are keeping the information very close to their chests so as not to alarm Delhi and Washington.

The defense manufacturing is going beyond the basic JF-17 Thunders. Plans are already underway for the manufacture of the next generation of fighters, the FC-20s which will eventually become the mainstay of the PAF.

There are discussions going to for the Chinese JX fighter and how to include the stealth technology into the FC-20s.

I don't able to understand why china did not find any other country other than pakistan on this planet earth to feed. They know pak also responsible for islamic uprising in western provinces of china. Chinese are known to be very good business man, don't know, wats cooking deep. But pak is like snake which will spell venom later on its master's. Thats there fitrat( they are known for that). Let's see how long china feeds this begger. Feeding begger is against the ideology of china as far as i know
You know there's a way to avoid death you're in trauma of heart attack or strokes... You've gotto pin your finger tip using a needle or something and should bleed some blood out of your finger...

Same here.. China don't want India to be their big stroke to get heart attack, they know some day India will stand strong against them... So they never mind hurting/bleeding themselves by feeding Pakistan...

After all, it will not take much time for China to demolish Pakistan if Pakistan is likely to turn their back to China... China soon will dry out by deliberate funding/aid to Pakistan like US did and realizing now...

Mr. Mukhtar, who was in Beijing with Mr. Gilani, gave no details about financing, but put the price per plane at $20 million to $25 million, higher than many defence experts' estimates of $15 million.

China's Foreign Ministry said it had no information about the agreement and calls to the Defence Ministry rang unanswered.
may be additional 5 million is reverse kick back from Pakistan to China.

Price doesn't matter. Its charity anyway, or it'll be paid back in some other way ... you know what I mean :D

Most warplanes radar cost 2 million+ per plane, for 15 million for the plane what are the Chinese selling??

LF as usual China is selling the jet at variable cost, now that they had to give this junk fighter in charity they add up their fixed cost.

Growing China-Pak defence ties matter of concern: AK Antony

India today said it views with "serious concern" the growing defence ties between China and Pakistan and that it will have to enhance its own capabilities to meet the challenge.

"It is a matter of serious concern for us. The main thing is, we have to increase our capability, that is the only answer," defence minister AK Antony told reporters here when asked to comment on the growing defence ties between China and Pakistan.

The comments come in the backdrop of reports that China would immediately be providing Pakistan with 50 new JF-17 Thunder multi-role jets under a co-production agreement.

Bingo! These are obviously in flyaway conditions currently with the Chinese AF that no one wants (except the pakis).
