I am starting a new thread to keep a tab on Pakistan army's war and operations within Pakistan as they are killing scores of people with no media scrutiny or independent constitutional agency monitoring them.

This thread will also serve the purpose for Indians as they may take a clue from such operations to tackle insurgency in Kashmir using same tactics and war tools as Pakistan army has used so far, including use of air power.

What Pakistan army has done in past is known to many readers with good memory of this forum. Also many threads have been created here time to time. However I would like this thread to be updated with latest and forthcoming updates as Pakistan army is going to be running this war against it own people in future with more provinces and regions getting ransacked by this notorious institute.

40 terrorists killed, 43 hideouts destroyed in Khyber since last week: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan forces have killed 40 terrorists and destroyed 43 hideouts through aerial strikes and ground offensives since the start of Operation Khyber 3, which began last week in the Rajgal valley of Tirah, a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Monday.

40 'terrorists' killed or 40 innocent civilians killed? Any independent confirmation or is this just ISPR propaganda to keep up the morale of the beleaguered Pakistanis?

Wow! These buggers use air and artillery against their own people and cry a river when some idiot mercenaries get hit with non lethal pellet guns in Kashmir! Jeeez!

WTF?
Here's what they've done to their own country - destroyed scores of towns and villages by air and artillery bombardment and displaced hundreds of thousands of civilians.....

Destruction in North Waziristan in Op Zarb e Azab...

Who's going to pay for their reconstruction? Will it ever be done? The Pak Army believes in only one tactic - Scotched Earth Policy. Destroy everything. That's the easiest way never mind the collateral damage. One doesn't need brains for such operations. Thus ideally suited for the brainless Pak Army.

Reason for this is
Guns cheaper than smartphones in Pakistan

DARRA ADAMKHEL: Gunfire echoes through a dusty northwest tribal town, the soundtrack to Pakistan's biggest arms black market, where Kalashnikovs welded from scrap metal are cheaper than smartphones and sold on an industrial scale.

Darra Adamkhel, a town surrounded by hills some 35 kilometres (20 miles) south of the city of Peshawar, was a hub of criminal activity for decades. Smugglers and drug runners were common and everything from stolen cars to fake university degrees could be procured.

This generations-old trade in the illicit boomed in the 1980s: The mujahideen began buying weapons there for Afghanistan's battle against the Soviets, over the porous border.

Later, the town became a stronghold of the Pakistani Taliban, who enforced their strict rules and parallel system of justice -- infamously beheading Polish engineer Piotr Stanczak there in 2009.

Now Darra is clean of all but the arms, yet the gunsmiths in the bazaar say the region's improved security and authorities' growing intolerance for illegal weaponry are withering an industry that sustained them for decades.

"(The) Nawaz Sharif government has established checkpoints everywhere, business is stopped," said Khitab Gul, 45.

Gul is known in Darra for his replicas of Turkish and Bulgarian-made MP5 submachine guns, one of the most popular weapons in the world, widely used by organisations such as America's FBI SWAT teams.

The MP5 can retail for thousands of dollars. Gul's version, which comes with a one-year guarantee, costs roughly 7,000 rupees, or $67 -- and, he claims, it works perfectly.

Gul then puts on a demonstration, test-firing his MP5 in the small outer yard of his workshop -- first the single shot mode, then firing in a burst.

A Darra-made Kalashnikov, Gul says, can sell for as little as $125, cheaper than most smartphones. "The workers here are so skilled that they can copy any weapon they are shown," he explains.

"In past 10 years I have sold 10,000 guns, and had zero complaints," he claims.

In Gul's sweltering workshop, employees shout over the roar of electrical generators as they expertly cut and drill through metal brought from the shipyards of Karachi, far to the south on the Arabian Sea.

The main bazaar which cuts through the town used to hold nothing but tiny gun shops crammed together, their gleaming wares displayed openly on racks as customers test-fired into the air above.

Trade was illegal, unlicensed and unregulated, but long tolerated by authorities with little power in the tribal areas between Afghanistan and Pakistan, where militants once operated with impunity.

Residents, for their part, viewed the market as legitimate in an area dominated by Pashtun traditions, where gun culture is deeply embedded in male identity.

But in recent years, the military has cracked down on extremism, particularly in the tribal areas, and security is the best it has been since the Pakistani Taliban were formed in 2007.

Every second or third shop in Darra now sells groceries or electronics instead of weapons, the gunsmiths lament. The Wild West atmosphere is fading as the town embraces modern conveniences.

Before the crackdown Gul's workshop -- just one of hundreds in the town -- could produce more than 10 weapons a day, he says.

Now they only produce four. "Demand has decreased," he says.

Gunsmiths put the blame squarely on the Pakistani government and military, particularly checkpoints on the way to Darra halting customers who once travelled to the town openly.

Foreigners have been banned for security reasons.

The military has not yet objected to the gun market in Darra directly, but residents say they have had to give sureties that they will not harbour militants, and a half-hearted attempt at licensing is now also being made.

"I have been working here for 30 years but now I have no work to do," says Muzzamil Khan, sitting idle outside his workshop. "I am ready to sell my lathe machine."

Muhammad Qaisar, making cartridges at his shop in the main bazaar, said at one point there had been up to 7,000 shops there -- but now almost half have closed.

If the government does not change its policies, he says, "I fear... Darra will be finished".
Darra trade union leader Badam Akbar confirmed that some 3,000 shops have closed, and said skilled workers are attempting to learn new trades. "Nothing is left in this bazaar now," he says.

Hundreds of gun shops still cram the narrow streets around the bazaar and the sound of gunfire still pierces the air -- albeit intermittently -- but the gunsmiths say it is not enough.

"We have no electricity, no water, no business," Akbar warns. "Life has became very difficult."

Highlighting the atrocities carried out by Pakistan in Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), the UK-based Kashmiris yesterday staged a protest against the establishment in Islamabad demanding peace and freedom in Kashmir.

During the protest at the Bradfort City Centre in West Yorkshire in Northern England, they raised slogans stating that Gilgit and PoK are an integral part of the princely state of Kashmir.

"We want freedom, we want freedom. Stop killings in Kashmir," they said.

One of the protestors, Mahmud Kashmiri, president of the Jammu and Kashmiri Awaami Party, said: "We are here to protest against foreign forces, who are involved in killings in Jammu and Kashmir."

Another protestor said that the demonstration was about the atrocities that are being carried out in both parts of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

"The people of Jammu and Kashmir are treated in a very bad manner in both parts. I am 100 percent sure that this is being instigated by Pakistan," he said.

Shamina Raja, another protestor, expressing grave concern over the latest incidents in Kashmir demanded that peace should be established in the region at the earliest.

"We have come here for Jammu and Kashmir. Whatever is happening there is unfortunate. I only pray that it should not happen. What we want is that peace should be established there," she said.

Carrying posters which read, 'Arif Shahid was murdered because he demanded reunification of Jammu, Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan', they also demanded justice for the pro-independence Kashmiri leader, who was brutally murdered in Rawalpindi in 2013.

Shahid, who led the All Parties National Alliance (APNA) advocating independence from India and Pakistan, was shot dead by unidentified men near his home in Rawalpindi on May 14, 2013.

He was a vocal critic of Pakistan's alleged role in sending militants to fight a 'proxy war' against India in Indian-administered Kashmir. He also criticised Pakistan's policy of treating Kashmir as its 'colony'.

The Pakistani Government banned him from travelling abroad in 2009 and later confiscated his passport and other identification documents.

The protest comes close on the heels of the July 21 rigged elections in PoK where the protestors blamed Islamabad of indulging in widespread propaganda and killing.

The protestors also stated that genuine voters were not allowed to cast their votes and Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency, and others rigged the polls in favour of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's PML (N).

The (PML-N) won 32 out of 41 seats or more than seventy five percent of the seats in the rigged elections.

All Pakistani media does is publish ISPR press releases as fact and gospel. No one asks the military questions about what they do, hold them no account, and sing their praises. And if some journalist does ask uncomfortable questions, they are not pilloried by hyper-nationalists as traitors, but some even get a visit from ISI thugs. When US was undertaking drone attacks -- with Pakistan implicit permission -- in FATA, you get all these bleeding-heart NGOs raising the issue of collateral damage, international law, etc. Where are these idiots now that Pakistan is killing people left and right?

Imran Khan says Pakistan Army killed innocents in Bangladesh, Balochistan & Tribal areas

There's a reason why people call Imran Khan Taliban Khan. The man is a chutiya. No more need to be said about him.

I would say Shahbaz Shareef could be in for a good shout. He's viewed as a reasonably able administrator (at least for Upper Punjab/Lahore), is reported to speak multiple languages and more talented than his brother (that's not saying much). Of course he would face stiff opposition from Maryam Nawaz who may have her sights set on the throne.

No doubt, Imran Khan is Pathan. Turkish & Punjabi muzzies are worst. They should be eliminated wholesale for lasting world-peace.
It is time Modi did an encore of Bangladesh in Baloch..
