This is an annual international military patrolling exercise that makes its participating units cover a 50-mile (80 km) course in less than 48 hrs while performing numerous types of military exercises placed throughout the rugged Cambrian Mountains and swamp lands of mid-Wales.

Cambrian Patrol was first set up more than 40 years ago, by a group of Welsh Territorial Army soldiers who designed the training event to feature long distance marching over the Cambrian Mountains culminating in a shooting match on the Sennybridge training area. Since then, the exercise has been rigorously updated to meet the challenges faced by modern soldiers.

A total of 64 teams took part in this years exercise.

In 2010, 2015 and 2016, the Pakistan Army team won gold medals in the exercise.

Indian Army's 8 Garhwal Rifles won the gold medal in 2014. In 2015 Indian army (3/4 Gorkha Rifles) won the silver medal. The Indian army team had also won a Gold medal in the 2011 Cambrian Patrol competition.

So it's a neck and neck competition between the Pakis and Indians. The difference is that their SSG commandos take part while we send normal infantry sub units to participate.

In grit, guts and endurance, the Indian infantryman is second to nobody in the world,” says Lt Gen Ata Hasnain, who is from the Garhwal Rifles.

The thing is there is no "winning" the event as well, these idiots are practicing surgical taqqiya on themselves. Last year seven countries got gold medals out of 14, this year too many other countries would have gotten it.
