ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Wednesday made it clear to the US that it will not tolerate the latter's 'great game' in the region, Geo News reported.

According to the sources at Pakistan's Foreign Office, Pakistan has made it clear to the visiting US vice president Joe Biden that Pakistan will not tolerate US 'great game' in the region.

Joe Biden had admitted foreign intrusion in areas located along Pak-Afghan border, sources added. Biden, however, agreed that Afghan problem could not be resolved only through use of force.

"No US boot will tread on Pakistani soil and there will be no violation of Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity," the US vice president was quoted as saying by FO sources.

The sources also said that the US had been offered to become part Afghanistan's reconstruction process.

If there is one more - even one more - terror attack on US soil planned and organized in Pakistani territory, Pakistan will have to tolerate any kind of game. Beggars cannot be choosers.

I still wish shazad was successful. It would have made sure pak would have lost most of it's military jewels.

It is only a country that has the economic, military and national power that can dictate terms.

Not a country that is a failed State, depending on everyone to merely stay afloat!

'US has right to interfere in Pakistan's affairs'

The US has the right to interfere in Pakistan's economic and governance affairs as Washington provides funds to it, the American envoy here has asserted.

US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter said the US was the largest aid giver to Pakistan and, therefore, it has the right to interfere in economic and governance affairs, Geo News reported Saturday.

Addressing a ceremony here, the ambassador said the US made demands to Pakistan with respect and dignity, adding that the statement by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over the issue of fuel prices was misquoted.

Clinton had said it was a 'mistake' for Islamabad to reverse the fuel price rises as the move undermined its efforts to bolster its ailing economy.

'We believe that the government of Pakistan must reform its economic laws and regulations, including those that affect fuel and its cost,' Clinton said.

Munter also sought to dispel the impression that the US was mounting pressure on Pakistan for launching military operation in North Waziristan.

Not cool. We should not celebrate innocents Americans death. If anything, why doesn't GoI try and stop that once and for all. There's no need for us to celebrate the death of innocent Americans and thinking US will take stringent action against Pakistan. If 9/11 could not change US' foreign policy, nothing can.

If US feels Pakistan is getting to close to China it could easily start supporting democracy in Baluchistan.
Those are the Aces the Americans are holding right now, they are in Afghanistan for atleast 2014, only to watch Pakistan closely, and carve out their Game plans on Baluchistan accordingly. In reality, one's fate is in one's own hands, but here Pakistan's fate is in US' hands.

I think the breakup of Pakistan is actually a long-term US geopolitical objective, and if you ask me that's the main reason why the Americans will stay in A'stan till 2014.

Pakistan also knows this, but are powerless against it, which explains the excessive begging/posturing towards China. China is really their only hope left, as they themselves are on the verge of a major civil war while at the same time being in the crossfire of two great powers (three if you include India).

It is not a comfortable situation for any country to be in.
