Because you refuse to look at the reality. With this rail, China can access to one potential market as well as a hugh resource supplier -- middle east. It means hundreds billions dollars profit in the future for Chinese company.

Yes, US can threat this rail militarily, but can you tell which part of earth has no US military appearance? Apart from war, Chinese has other important thing to consider: economy.
