Pak troops violate ceasefire again fire over 7000 rounds of ammunition

JAMMU: Pakistani troops again violated the ceasefire by firing on Indian posts along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, four days after five Indian soldiers were killed by specialist troops of the Pakistan Army.

"Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing along LoC in Durga Battalion area in Poonch district around 2220 hours late last night", defence Spokesman SN Acharya said on Saturday.

"Pakistan fired over 7000 rounds of heavy ammunition besides mortar shells on Indian posts during the seven-and-a-half-hour firing in Poonch," defence spokesperson said.

They fired with small arms and automatic weapons on the posts till 2250 hours, he said, adding it was a ceasefire violation.

Army troops gave a calibrated response to the firing, Acharya said, adding that there was no loss of life or damage to property in the firing.

I will not be surprised if the situation at LOC detoriates significantly in comming days... Yesterday was the best day to send some dead bodies over in body bags...

Why we have to show such restraint and sacrifice the lives of our soldiers? Why allow Pakistan to fire first and than cry that Pakistanis are violating ceasefire? Maybe our Government is still getting positive response from Pakistan till we get more Jawans killed by them. This is about the millionth time people have heard this nonsense.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. If possible respond in their language by shelling them with artillery.

Indian soldiers have a right to defend themselves. So why do the soldiers need permission from anyone? By the time Indian Army seeks permissions, Pakistanis are not going to cease firing, are they?

The situation seems like initial stages of Kargil II

Last time they messed around and lost 4000 soldiers against 500 Indian soldiers ie almost 10:1 killing ration, so good revenge taken.

was also wondering what kind of muslims these pakis are ,they resorted to killings of indian soldiers during the holy Ramzan festival. This shows pakis are fake muslims only to misguide innocents into becoming terrorists. for pakis Jihad is a well made tool to bleed India and nothing else. when will our inidan mujahideen muslims understand this and stop collaborating with pakis!!! Our Imams during Friday prayers should teach our muslim brothers not to become victims in the hands of selfish pakis!!!!

It will be fun watching Pyjamachap Pakistanis playing the victim of Indian aggression like they have been doing for 1971 and Siachin.
