    Seems to me like Pakistani lawyers are experts at not following procedure in the courts (whether deliberately or out of lack of knowledge)... If I remember right, Sarabjit's petition against hanging was also rejected on similar grounds of not following adequate procedure and for the non-presence of his lawyer...
