In more proof of Pak ISI's terror links, WikiLeaks has reportedly revealed that Washington was away of the nature of anti-India terror camps in Pakistan, which were run by the Inter-Services Intelligence Directorate. According to WikiLeaks, Guantanamo Bay detainees disclosed the same to Washington, which is registered in official US records.
According to the disclosures, the records hold interrogation reports and analysis of 779 inmates of the prison, which show that American officials were aware of anti-India terror operatives directed by Pakistan officials. At least one of the Lashkar-e-Taiba militants in custody at Guantanamo Bay is a direct ISI agent.
According to the US officials records, the al-Qaeda also planned to bomb and Indian airliner and also use India as a platform to send operatives to the western world, given the comparative low scrutiny for Indian travellers.
The report details also in possession of the Indian Express read, "Abdul Azia, an Algerian member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba and an al-Qaeda courier picked up by the US in 2002 who said that his mission was to 'kill Indians in India', has been recorded as saying that the ISI 'allowed' fighters to fight inside India. Detainee also stated the intelligence personnel allowed the fighters to travel to India where they conducted bombings, kidnapping or killing Kashmiri people. The targets were chosen by the Pakistani Army. (Analyst note: The intelligence personnel are assessed to be members of the ISID.)"
According to the Indian Express, in another intelligence note on a captured Afghan fighter Chaman Gul, an analyst notes information on Mast Gul, an ISI agent who fought in Kashmir.
"A former Major in the Pakistani Army, Mast Gul is a notorious terrorist. He fought against the Indian government in Kashmir and planned terrorist attacks against a number of targets in Kabul, AF. Gul is also closely aligned with the HIG and the ISID," the note says.
