A glimpse into the ethos of the Pakistani Army
Army not trusting people whom it's supposed to protect and
population not trusting it's own army both of them are wrong.
Scary thing is the army has Atom bombs as well.
The title itself is a joke. Pak Army and Ethos. What an oxymoron!!
We saw in Kargil they didnt claim their own fallen men.
Battalion fund...to be raised by battalion itself baap re baap these guys are uniforme thugs. Now I know the reason why these guys cannot fight and as the writer said PA is nothing but a bunch of Muhammad Shah Rangeela's .This is no different from the Mughal Mansabdari system atleast the mughals had Rajput sardars and troops on whom they can rely these guys are enunchs
to me the indian and pakistani armies are like two identical twins who had a common upbringing but when they went their seprate ways in their young adult hood one became a Honorful hard working son trying to keep the honor of the family and one became a brat and a rowdy FM cheetwood might be turning in his grave now seeing what the pakistan army has become
the IA and PA are two different things culture, ethos and attitude wise.Don't compare IA with these enunuchs
no matter how much we want we cant run away from history my friend
IntelliBriefs: 1947: Partition in the Indian Army
One of the run of the mill article by a frustrated officer filled with half truths and half fascinates.
Was it Army that devided this country?
Was it Pakistan Army who was responsible for 1948 incursion into Kashmir? No , it was their civilian leadership.
Only during 1965, the Army went gungho considering the defeat of India in 1962 and Yahaya being led up the gum by the Americans.
Bhutto was entirely responsible foe the division of the country in 1971 and whatever happened in Bangladesh.
Benazir Bhutto is entirely responsible for Taliban phenomenon. ISI was just a tool.
Under such unreliable history where in the political leadership was responsible for misery to Pakistan than the military itself, it is natural that the military will develop a distaste for their civilian leadership.
The higher leadership of the Pak Army may have deviated and be corrupt which is every hwere but Pak Army middle ranks continues to be the only national institution supporting the survival of the state. You take it away and Pakistan is gone for ever.
I feel bad for such micro understanding of this officer of issues Macro. There is enough literature available to say that Pakistan is what Pak Army is. If civilian institutions have lost control over Army in Pakistan it is their crass dishonesty and corruption. Or else why would they listen to the ISI's master, the Army.
