Now that is what happens when You use Chinese crap.
RIP to the dead pilot.

The ejection seat could be TY-5B as it was a newly produced thunder with more Chinese parts.

That is a news to me that they are having same engine of Mig 29 and Russia is providing them. How can Russia do this and how on earth India will buy Mig 29 from them.

For a new programme like LCA and JF 17 which are still evolving air crashes
are very demoralising and create many doubts and questions about the aircraft's capabilty , pilots training
flight control issues during manuevers

DRDO ADA have been very very particular about avoiding a crash of LCA

Recently a fuel leakage was detected and for 3 months LCA fleet was grounded

JF 17 is under powered , its air frame design is old , it does nt have complete FBW

So risky and high speed Close combat manuevers will be dangerous

If an enemy soldier is killed on our soil he is accorded a funeral with military honor. That's the best practice of IA. But we don't shed tears for them.

RIGHT Now in Dubai air show , JF 17 is being aggressively marketed as

" Take THREE JF 17 for the price of ONE F 16 "

So this is very bad timing for this JF 17 crash .It opens a new can of worms / issues which might have been
hidden so far

Secondly Indian Mig 29 is using TWO RD 33 series 3 engines
which is better than a single RD 93 JF 17 engine which is a variant of RD 33 Engine

A single engine fighter like JF 17 and LCA need very reliable engines

If one engine fails atleast the plane can land safely

There fore we went for GE 404 IN 20 engine since LCA being single engined needed the most reliable engine

China is very desperate to enter international combat planes market

Hence JF 17 is being marketed in Dubai air show as " Take three for the price of one F 16 "

However JF 17 stands no where close to even Mig 29 Forget about F 16

Now JF 17 will come up with a new slogan

" Buy ONE and GET ONE FREE " :thumb:

i think pakistan was aware about the problem that is why they advertise 'three for price of one', man even PLA-AF was not buying junk fighter.

ok it appears that pilot has very very bad luck with junk fighter not only the plane failed by his para-shoot failed him, his ejection seat is Mk10L ejector seat (F-7P/MP/PG) made by Martin Baker Aircraft Co. Ltd. (U.K.) what is surprising is the fact that it is not zero/zero seat, unlike the one sold by the same company for LCA.
here is the link Martin Baker Aircraft Co. Ltd. - U.K.

this is seat for junk fighter

if you are wondering what is zero zero ejection go through this Ejection seat - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

looks like cheap fighter will get you killed cheaply.

So whom are the Pukes gonna blame this one on..
Surely it couldn't be the Aces of PAF who are at fault but does it mean its the deeper than ocean friend's product thats substandard?
That being said, R.I.P to the dead pilot.

All this at the time when they are pitching it for exports, bad for business.
Karma?

Pakistan is not saying Chines plane to be blame for this, may be pointing at engine, but parashoot to be blamed too, But frankly what do you expect if you are giving three for price of one decent fighter. supplier are bound to cut ways to deliver good at cheap price. When it happen in aerospace industry, you will end up with crashes.

Hmm...So they're gonna blame the Russian(RD-33?) engines for it, typical.
At 25 million per unit its still not that cheap, not cheap enough to ignore safety provisions anyways.

they want even cheaper engine. may be they aiming for 4 fighters at the price of 1 decent plane, but end up with all 4 pilots dead.

Peace for the Fallen.

But one thing seemed curious to me. When a Sukoi 30 mki crashed and a pilot died, the thread in pdf was full of people buzzing, with 86 comments in it. Now a JF17 has crashed, like 7 people are noticing it. They dont even call it JF17, they call it a vintage trainer aircraft. I think they feel puppy shame talking about it. No, seriously!
