May the Lord lead you through joys big and small....
May your Janmaashtami celebrations be great and tall
May his blessings continue to shine upon you
May you love in the way the divine does you

On what the occasion involves:

Janmashtami is the celebration of the birth of Lord Krishna, a Hindu deity, on the eighth day (Ashtami tithi) of the dark half (Krishna Paksha) of the month of Bhaadra in the Hindu calendar when Rohini nakshatra (Aldebaran) is ascendant. The festival falls between August mid and September mid months of the Gregorian calendar, and this year it falls on August 14th and 15th. Sri Krishna was born on the midnight of day one hence Janmashtami is celebrated for two consecutive days.

Celebrations include the 'Rasleela', a play that centres around the life and works of the deity, and the 'Dahi Handi', a ceremonial breaking of a pot filled with yogurt or butter to signify the joyousness and childhood feats of Shri Krishna.
