Veteran Bollywood actor Om Puri, who drew flak after airing objectionable comments against parliamentarians few months back, again stirred up a hornet's nest by commenting in favour of Naxals. Om Puri, who came to Madhya Pradesh's famous tourist spot Pachmarhi in Hoshangabad district to shoot Prakash Jha's film 'Chakravyuh', was seen in a video footage of a local news channel saying the Maoists as "fighters". Talking to some media persons in Pachmarhi on Tuesday along with Jha and other actors, Om Puri said, " Naxals should not be called as terrorists as they are fighting for the exploited people and take up arms against the existing system. They abduct those who work for the administration." Om Puri also reportedly said some derogatory remarks against MPs during anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare's fast for bringing Lokpal Bill at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi last year. Now, the title is tricky.

First of all, anybody who fights is a fighter. Are the Maoists not fighting? If the answer to that question is yes, then the Maoists are indeed fighters.

The title should not be interpreted without actually reading the article.
