Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ) is a program of the Foundation for Promotion of Sports and Games which is committed to bridging the gap between the best athletes in India and the best athletes in the world thus helping Indian athletes to win Olympic Gold medals. OGQ endevours to create a level playing field for our athletes to enable them to be competitive at the highest level of sport.

OGQ strives to compliment the efforts of the Indian Government and various Sports Federations in identifying and funding the best and most deserving medal prospects for the Olympic games. OGQ has short-listed six individual disciplines viz. shooting, athletics, boxing, wrestling, archery and badminton as the ones in which Indian athletes have the strongest potential to win Olympic medals.

OGQ brings together eminent sportspersons, business leaders, sportswriters and talent scouts to identify emerging athletes, understand their training needs and requirements and raise funds to be used for supporting athletes with Olympic medal winning potential.

OGQ experts systematically oversee and benchmark the progress of athletes and provide funds to them so that they will have access to the best coaching and training facilities and to exploit scientific aids including planned nutrition & diet.

Olympic Gold Quest is the brain child of Geet Sethy and Prakash Padukone. Later Leander Paess and Viswanathan Anand joined ass directors. Former captain of Indian Hockey team Viren Rascuinha.

Among the sponsored sports personality are Saina Nehwal, Mary Kom, Suranjoy Singh, P Kashyap, Vikash Gowda, Gagan Narang, Tejaswani sawant etc. You know most of them specially after their success in recently held Commonwealth Games. But there are some younger athletes sponsored by the programme who are just about to make it big in senior levels after showing their potential in Junior levels.
