NORTH Korea has ordered 600,000 residents in Pyongyang to evacuate immediately as war fears escalate, according to staggering reports.

Russian newspaper Pravda Report claims 25% of the city's residents have been told to flee.

According to South Korean media, residents in the hermit kingdom have said goodbye to each other sparking concerns tyrannical Kim Jong-un could be about to act after months of nuclear weapon testing.

The latest rumours come after North Korean officials announced a "big and important event" tomorrow.

Foreign reporters have been told to prepare for the event on North Korea's biggest national celebration called "Day of the Sun".

Around 200 foreign journalists are in Pyongyang as the country marks the 105th birth anniversary of its founding president Kim Il Sung on April 15.

Donald Trump and Jong-un continue to bash heads as war fears grow between the two nations.

Officials in North Korea have warned nuclear war could break out at any minute thanks to the "extremely tense" situation on the Korean Peninsula.

America sent a US Navy strike group towards the Western Pacific in a show of force, while North Korea warned it would launch a nuke attack in response to any act of aggression.

And China moved 150,000 soldiers close to the North Korea border in preparation for war.

It comes after Trump launched 59 Tomahawk missile to blast a Syrian airfield in response for the country's brutal chemical attack which killed 79 civilians.

North Korean officials gave no details about the nature of the surprise event or where it would take place, but in the past similar announcement have turned out to be relatively low-key.

They told foreign journalists in Pyongyang invited to mark the national holiday that their schedule had been cancelled, and to instead meet early on Thursday to prepare for a "big and important event".

Many soldiers are used as a labor force to compensate for the ineffective North Korean economy, so the army is not only about military organization.

In 2016 foreign journalists underwent hours of investigation by North Korean officials ahead of what turned out to be a pop concert to mark the finale of a ruling Workers' Party congress.

But on the 100th day of the Sun in April 2012, North Korea attempted to launch a long-range rocket.

With war tensions raging, some are wondering whether Kim will use the special date to strike America after months of threats over nuclear weapons.

Chinese President Xi Jinping called for a peaceful resolution to the North Korean problem in a telephone conversation with Trump today.

Security experts recently warned Kim could be planning an underwater nuclear attack using a secret submarine.

In the past North Korea's submarines have been able to disappear and avoid detection, with up to 50 vanishing off the radar in 2015.

Security expert Bruce Klingner told CNBC: “We didn't know where they were at the time. One would hope that we would keep very close tabs on those that could launch the submarine-launched ballistic missiles [SLBMs].

“All of that is very worrisome because that may very well have a nuclear weapon someday.”

I do hope and wish I am proven wrong but things do not look good. Any miscommunication and miscalculation can prove fatal.

This could be hoax by west to justify attack on North Korea to eliminate Kim.

Even if it doesn't escalate to world war 3 levels and remains local conflict involving US Japan and south Korea it would be bad for world as world economy would be in tail spin.

North Korea has warned America to end its "military hysteria" or face retaliation - as a US strike group, including an aircraft carrier, steams towards the region.

Pyongyang issued the warning as it displayed new submarine-based ballistic missiles in a massive military parade in the city.

The reclusive state said it was prepared to respond to any attacks with "nuclear attacks of our own style" as tension mounted in the region.

"Once a war really happens, the result will be nothing but multiple loss. No one can become a winner."

On Saturday, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un arrived at Pyongyang's main Kim Il Sung Square, named after his grandfather.

He led a military parade marking the "Day of the Sun", the birth anniversary of the state's founding father.

Goose-stepping soldiers and marching bands filled the square, next to the Taedonggang River that flows through Pyongyang.

Tanks, multiple rocket launch systems and other weapons followed, while single-engine planes flew in a 105 formation overhead.

South Korea's military said it believed some of the missiles in the parade included new types of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM).

The North has said it has developed and would launch a missile that can strike the mainland US.

"All the brigandish provocative moves of the US in the political, economic and military fields pursuant to its hostile policy toward the DPRK will thoroughly be foiled through the toughest counteraction of the army and people of the DPRK," a spokesman for the General Staff of the Korean People's Army said.

"Our toughest counteraction against the US and its vassal forces will be taken in such a merciless manner as not to allow the aggressors to survive," the military spokesman continued.

The US has warned that the policy of "strategic patience" with North Korea is over.

The North has conducted several missile and nuclear tests in defiance of UN and unilateral sanctions.

North Korea will not fire first. War won't start till the americans fire. Anyways, regarding your question; china has deployed army only for precaution, not for war.

Also, china has enough contingency to fight a 2 front war and protect its assets in pakistan. You can't just "finish" off pakistan.

However, you can aggressively launch a battle with afghanistan also hitting on the other side and cause serious damage to pakistan.

Trump Said To Not Shy Away From Sudden Strike On North Korea

Trump might consider ordering "kinetic" military action following North Korea's failed missile test

In the wake of North Korea's failed medium-range missile test this weekend, President Donald Trump is willing to consider ordering "kinetic" military action, including a sudden strike, to counteract North Korea's destabilizing actions in the region, said a person familiar with the White House's thinking.

But Trump's very strong preference is for China to take the lead on dealing with North Korea, said the person, who asked not to be named because the discussions are private.


Trump's strategy isn't exactly a departure from long-standing U.S. policy. He isn't particularly interested in toppling the regime of leader Kim Jong Un and isn't looking to force a reunification of the two Koreas, the person said. He instead wants to push for their long-term cooperation.

Trump's national security team had already thought through various scenarios that North Korea might take this weekend, and how the U.S. would react. So when the medium-range missile test failed right after launch early Sunday morning local time, Trump was informed immediately and decided to downplay it, according to the person.

It was Trump's decision that the administration's initial response would come from Defense Secretary James Mattis, who issued a 22-word statement Saturday night.


Unannounced Action

National Security Adviser General H.R. McMaster also used familiar language Sunday to describe North Korea's "provocative and destabilizing and threatening behavior," while leaving all options on the table as his team helps develop plans of action for the region.

In an interview Sunday on ABC's "This Week," McMaster said Trump had directed the National Security Council to collaborate with the Defense and State Departments, and intelligence agencies to "provide options and have them ready for him if this pattern of destabilizing behavior continues."

Hours after the failed test, McMaster emphasized Trump's preference, as with this month's airstrikes in Syria, for unannounced military action. He added that the North Korean leader's unpredictability complicated U.S. strategy.


McMaster, an Army lieutenant general, made the case for global action on the issue, including enlisting North Korean neighbor China, given the "brutality" of Kim's regime.

"This is someone who has demonstrated his brutality by murdering his own brother, by murdering others in his family, by imprisoning large numbers of people in horrible conditions for no reason, for political reasons," McMaster said. "So this regime has given the world reason for concern. And that includes -- that includes the Chinese people and the Chinese leadership as well."

Program Improvement

While McMaster conceded that estimates on North Korea's weapons capabilities "vary widely," even failed missile tests can allow them to improve their programs, he said.

The U.S. and allies have been locked in long-standing hostility with North Korea, as the latter remains technically at war with its neighbor to the South since a truce to the Korean War more than 60 years ago. Successive U.S. presidents have struggled to contain three successive dictators, and to break a cycle that has been defined by sanctions, sanctions relief, and unsettling actions including missile tests and nuclear weapons development.

McMaster's use of "provocative" and "destabilizing" to describe North Korea echoes administrations of both parties that have attempted to rally others on the global stage, including China, to help prevent fresh war on the peninsula. Trump used the language in his February visit with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
