Got info on a new unidentified 4 celled launcher for an unidentified missile.

The total weight of the detachable 4 celled cannister is ~4 tons.

Launcher employs a new re loading mechanism for quicker reloads
Indian MGM 140??????????

Yes!
But the rockets will be much more smarter.....
The Serbian system achieves a ~22km range with a variant of its 128mm rocket.

Owing to the advances we made in development of Pinaka, we can possibly achieve 25km with a smaller, lighter round. Think somewhere between 107 and 122mm.

It's surface-to-surface.
Also, the difference between rocket & missile has more or less dwindled.
It did dwindled, but when we talk of weapon system, Rockets implies more of an simple artillery system which are launched at and angle for maximum range. Missile on other hand are more sophisticated system which have the capability to change its intended ballistic path.

So a vertical launch rocket is ideologically more similar to a missile then the conventional rockets.

The key to the new system is not so much the range, but the fact that it'll be vertically launched and expected to have an accuracy of 2m.
Despite these being 'guided' & vertically launched they should be 'cheap' to be mass produced!
So, the rocket/missile will be quite a different 'system' from Pinaka.

This is the new unidentified launcher system for an unidentified missile which I had alluded to previously.

It has a 4 celled single cannister , which can be reloaded using the same launcher , no need of a additional missile reloading vehicle.

Historically 'guidance' was the differentiating factor - rockets being unguided, while missile being guided.
But then we have 'guided' pinaka!
Vertical launch could still be accomplished like a regular rocket with some 'top cap' tilting it in the desired direction after achieving a desired altitude.
These 'rockets' are required to have an accuracy of 2m......so, yes! some kind of guidance will be required.
