Nepal women banned from Middle East over exploitation

There are numerous reports of abuse of South Asian housemaids in the Middle East

Nepal has banned women under the age of 30 from going to work in Middle Eastern countries amid growing concerns that they are being exploited.

Common complaints include physical and sexual abuse, poor conditions and non-payment of salaries.

It is not a new allegation that Saudis don't pay the workers. Despite being flush with petro-dollars, they are usually worse than the beggars who sing on the Indian trains.

I too once had a Nepali Muslim in my employ who didn't have a trace of Mongoloid features or fair skin . . .

I suspect BD. Not sure. There are Nepalis who look like that. There have been protests against Saudi Arabia in BD, as well as Indonesia, for similar reasons.
