NDFB rebels massacre 18 people in Assam

Assam's fragile peace was shattered on Monday when tribal separatists killed at least 18 Hindi-speaking people, including eight bus passengers, in three separate attacks in Assam, officials said.

Eight people were also injured in the attacks.

A police spokesperson said heavily armed militants of the outlawed National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) fired at a bus near Bhoimari village in Sonitpur district, about 250 km north of Assam's main city of Guwahati. They lined up the passengers and took away the Hindi-speaking people to the forest and shot them.

"The NDFB fired at the bus, forcing the driver to stop, after which the militants lined up all the passengers on the road and took away at least 10 of them at gunpoint," a senior police official said.

There were about 25 people on board the private bus carrying Arunachal Pradesh government employees.

Police later recovered the bodies of eight people from a thickly wooded area close to the place where the bus was stopped.

"All the dead were Hindi-speaking people hailing from Bihar and were Arunachal Pradesh government employees," Assam police chief Shankar Baruah told IANS.

The whereabouts of two other passengers were not known. Police, army, and paramilitary troopers have launched a massive hunt in the area.

In another incident around 6 p.m., five people, including a woman, were killed after NDFB militants opened indiscriminate fire near village Belseri in Sonitpur district.

"All the victims were Hindi-speaking people," a police official said.

In the third attack, a daily wage earner, also a Hindi-speaking person, was killed in Tamulpur area in Nalbari district in western Assam.

Police blamed the attacks on the NDFB, a rebel group fighting for a separate homeland for the Bodo tribals, with their unique culture and ethnicity. There are approximately three million Bodos in Assam's 26 million population.

"We condemn the barbaric attack on innocent civilians by the NDFB and I assure you of very tough security measures against the rebels," Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi told IANS.

The incident comes hours after security forces Monday morning gunned down a NDFB militant in Sonitpur district during an encounter.

On Nov 1, the NDFB threatened to kill 20 or more people if one of their cadres was killed by security forces in any encounter.

"From today onwards, if any innocent NDFB cadres are killed by Indian forces in the name of fake encounter then the Boroland Army (armed wing of the NDFB) would take action against any Indian," deputy chief of the Boroland Army, B. Jwngkhang, said in an emailed statement Nov 1.

"One innocent Boro would be equal to 20 Indian or may be more and we don't care who they are, maybe Indian civilians or Indian forces."

Security forces in the past three months killed at least 20 NDFB cadres, besides arresting more than 15 militants in separate raids even as the tribal separatist group continued with a series of kidnappings for money.

"And this (threat) would be anytime and any moment and we are ready to strike. Remember this warning and be serious before killing any innocent Boro people," the rebel statement warned the Assam government.

Its Ironical these minority Boro Gangs who fight for Boro culture are themselves following a culture alien to Boros, however the mother of all irony is that these Boros kill "Hindi Speaking People"not Bangali speaking people from Bangladesh who have encroached almost 40% of Assam, we can easily gauge who these people work for and what are their objectives.

    :emot157:most !!

The difference you should know is NDFB does not have support of the majority, as its a minority group supported by a religious minority group, unlike the case of Tibet, Uighurs and Mongols et al.:emot180:

Then I think it is time that we black out media, jail a few HRC sold-out activists on charges of supporting terrorism and start combat operations here in northeast. I am tired of small so-called rebel groups. GOI should reach out to Bodo people themselves and ask them who's side they want; a growing powerful economy's or some tribal savages who've nothing to offer but pain and suffering? Once this has been cleared, Army must be sent in with special forces in backdrop unofficially with no statements and combing operations should start. Everyone whether Bodo bandit or related to him must be executed secretly. Once Bodo terror is crushed like what was there in Chambal valley, start the assault into Assam. Track down ULFA supporters in media, newspaper, radio stations etc and extract information later kill them. Based on this info start sending commando units anywhere (even if it means inside Bangladesh since officially asking them permission will alert the ULFAs hidden there--we can apologize later). Seal off the eastern border with Bangladesh and Burma with electric and barbed wiring and shoot anyone attempting to cross either side.

Ban the Baptist Church of Nagaland which is a terrorist organization and supplies arms to Isaak Muivah bandits and start combing operations against anyone associated with Baptist Church of Nagaland. If we keep sitting "worried about some civil war" then its over for us. We're not a bunch of wussies to be scared of these losers who attack unarmed people and even their own country's soldiers. Use Pinaka MBRL if we have to but unless we take an iron step against these scums like Sri Lanka did, nothing will change.

Remember that IAF bombed Mizoram flat and reduced terrorists to begging for their lives in 1967. After that Mizoram has been peaceful largely. We need something of that level to crush each of these small bandit outfits with inhuman force. Silence any HRC activist if it is necessary. This operation would make Maoists $h!t their pants and surrender. If it doesn't then move the Army straight against Maoists and intelligence against CPI that covertly supports Maoist elements. Survey every single Communist if they have to.

We have to use CATCH-EXTRACT INFO-KILL policy bigtime. If we keep caring for Human Rights @$$e$, our country is doomed with violence. During this operation, any media person, any HRC person, any other Arundhati-wannabe caught must be shot dead and declared "missing" for masses.

It is time we take terrorism seriously before it finishes us.

Excellent. Golden Words, this type of operation would give of a clear and dreaded signal to all those who run shops in the guise of human rights and activism; above all who propagate secession in favor of their masters who pay them booty (especially roy and her treacherous leftist loony brigade), we would have eliminated 99% of these mid-way of these operations and declared them "missing" or "on the run". However, all this is wishful thinking, as we have a spineless, corrupt govt. ruled over by a braindead dynasty in connivance with its treacherous coterie of advisers and PAs.

Illiteracy, which lefts them with no choice to have a say in the local Government, which in turn lures them to easy money making process. Terrorism is a big business. It never justified lost culture, livelihood in any way. Just a way for making big bucks in a shorter time.

Tibet was forcefully occupied by China and Tibetans forced to get themselves equipped with Han culture.

NDFB is based in Assam, and Assam is one state amongst many of the Union of India. India never occupied Assam forcefully in the first place.

GoI is sitting pretty on its ass, while tens of small armed groups dictate savage terms in the NE. They extort money from innocent people, kill at will and roam around freely without giving any ratz azz about the law. Even when this terrorist groups are at a ceasefire with the GoI, they extort money from local business and people. Without support from the Central Govt, even the DC and local police pay taxes to them.

Imagine a scenario where we have put all our resources, fighting the enemy on two fronts and these small armed groups declare independence and start killing innocents on a larger scale. Won't be very rosy.

3 more killed by NDFB militants, toll rises to 21

GUWAHATI, Nov 9 (PTI) - Three more persons were gunned down by NDFB rebels today to take the overnight toll in serial violence in seven districts of Assam to 21 as the authorities sounded a red alert across the state.
The rebels belonging to the anti-talk faction of the banned organisation shot dead two Hindi-speaking persons of a minority community at Ultapani in Kokrajhar district on the Indo-Bhutan border early this morning, police said.

Then in neighbouring Chirang district, the NDFB ultras gunned down a cycle mechanic at his residence at Domgaon village in the Bengtol police station area, they said.

In night-long violence yesterday, the rebels had killed 18 people, including eight Hindi-speaking and eight bus passengers, and injuring over 20.

Most of the attacks took place in Sonitpur district, bordering Arunachal Pradesh, where 14 people had been gunned down.

CCP is doing a genocide to tibet, uighurs; India doesnt.
Tibet was forcefully occupied, whereas the NE is acceded to Union and it was with this land even before the Britishers came.

I beg you the difference and please please please study the indian history before s**ting here.
