So what quality of life naxals providing those poor tribal people, after collecting small funds?

Or collection money used for naxals maintenances?

What role naxals playing good en bad in tribals backwardness.

Naxals are just thugs who can no longer turn back to their old lives. These are goondas who have to lie to themselves each day that they are revolutionaries whereas they are no better, if not worse, than dadas who cause misery in slums.

Naxal killed by CRPF in Bastar was a ‘commander’ with Rs 10 lakh reward

“The deceased was today identified as Mahesh, section commander of military company no. 06 of PLGA (peoples’ liberation guerilla army) of Maoists. He was carrying a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head,” Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Vivekanand Sinha said.

Raipur: The naxal gunned down in a police encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district on Thursday has been identified as a senior commander-rank cadre carrying a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head, police said on Friday.

The body of the naxal clad in ‘uniform’ was recovered after an exchange of fire between a joint team of Special Task Force (STF) and District Reserve Group (DRG) and ultras in Ranidongri-Rakasmetta forests under Kaknar Police Station area on late Thursday afternoon, the IG said.

One SLR weapon was also recovered from the slain naxal. Besides, one STF constable had also suffered a bullet injury in the face-off and was admitted to Raipur, where he is said to be recovering well, the IG said.

“A few more naxals might have got killed in the encounter and a search operation is being carried out in the nearby areas,” he said.

According to Sinha, the incident was “yet another blow” to the Maoists in past about one month.

“On May 14 this year, Vilas, a divisional committee member of East Bastar Division of Maoist was gunned down by police in Burgum police station area of Bastar district,” he said.

So CRPF is going after Naxal commanders with a vengeance.

Do note that the "arrested" are largely lower, mid-level cadres i.e. foot soldiers that can be rehabilitated. The halaaled are upper-middle, top level cadres who are too set in their ways and often the brains behind the naxal criminal enterprise.

I wonder if this is deliberate.

Well, Naxals are decently trained and have good knowledge of Jungle warfare technique. Those who surrender can't we use them as IA proxies and use them to hit Jihadis and NE militants. Just a thought.

I think the GOI should offer them a place in IA, the very reason they are rebelling is because of poverty and unemployment.
These guys can be very proficient in Jungle warfare if given the right training.
We can even pit then against Paki Mullas.:balleballe:
