Pakistan army join hands with Jaish terrorists, suggest intelligence reports

Intelligence agencies have issued a warning against the Pakistan Army Special Forces joining hands with Jaish-e-Mohammed to launch attacks in Indian bases from their side of the Line of Control.

The Pakistan Army Special Services Group Commandos are deployed on multiple locations along the LoC with Jaish terrorists trying to launch Border Action Team against the Indian Army.

The army has also received inputs that Pakistan is also planning to launch simultaneous suicide attacks on the Indian Army units in Pantha Chowk and other important areas.

The move has come at a time when Pakistan's terrorist network has suffered immensely due to relentless action by the army in the last one year.

According to intelligence report, Pakistan army SSG jawans wearing civil dress are moving near border areas and also doing a recce. By giving input to the terrorist they are trying to infiltrate the areas. The Indian army has planned action to counter infiltration in 10 location.

The 10 locations are:

Dudhnial
Athmuqam
Kharameru
Mandakuli
Chhitrian
Chakothi
Hathlanga
Nikial
Jandrut

Intelligence reports also suggest that Pakistan army is now banking on Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists rather than LeT terrorists.
According to the report, illegal movement has been recorded in the above mentioned areas.

6 JeM terrorist were spotted in two groups in Athmuqam area, which is opposite Keran sector on the Indian side.

Two groups of JeM terrorist were spotted trying to infiltrate Kharameru and Mandakuli area just opposite Naugam.

Two groups of terrorist each of 3-4 men, with support of Pakistan Army and BAT have been trying to infiltrate Chhitrian and Chakothi area which is opposite Uri.

According to specific inputs from security forces special wing, BAT and Fidayeen of JeM were seen trying to infiltrate and target post in Chakothi area due to proximity with Indian post.

JeM and SSG personnel were also seen doing a recce near 3 Indian posts.

The security forces are worried about installation and setting up of base in Pantha Chowk and Khanbal area where terrorists can easily attack.'''

US, India seek to pierce China terror shield

Highlights

  • In December, Indian and US officials will meet for the first time for a dialogue on coordinating terrorist designations
  • The new consultation mechanism was decided during the Modi-Trump summit this summer
  • Chinese officials reportedly expressed confidence that they would not be pressured on Azhar
After China put up a virtually permanent roadblock for proscribing Masood Azhar by the UNSC, India and US are mulling options for their next steps.

In December, Indian and US officials will meet for the first time for a dialogue on coordinating terrorist designations by both countries. The two sides will discuss options of keeping terrorists and terror groups like Jaish-e-Muhammad under pressure.
This will include discussions on the next terrorist that will be put up for sanctions by the UNSC's 1267 committee.

The new consultation mechanism was decided during the Modi-Trump summit this summer. In the joint statement that followed the summit, both sides, "committed to strengthen cooperation against terrorist threats from groups including al-Qaida, ISIS, JeM, Lashkar-e-Taiba, D-Company, and their affiliates. ... the leaders welcomed a new consultation mechanism on domestic and international terrorist designations listing proposals."

For instance, Abdul Rauf Asghar, Masood Azhar's brother, may find his name on the next list for sanctions. He was charged in the Pathankot terror attack. Azhar's second brother, Maulana Ibrahim Athar Alvi is accused of masterminding the UC-814 hijack which forced India to release Azhar from jail in return for the passengers of the jet.

India has a list of other terror leaders operating with the support of Pakistan's military-intelligence establishment, who India wants to put up on the 1267 committee.

India wants China to continue to shield Pakistan at the multilateral level — if Beijing blocks sanctions against deadly terrorists repeatedly, it could succeed in painting itself as a supporter of global terrorism.
Chinese officials reportedly expressed confidence that they would not be pressured on Azhar by the US given the US needed their support on keeping an increasingly hostile North Korea in check. :pound:China's :pound::pound::pound:decision came even as Beijing itself demanded extra security from Pakistan for its new envoy from ETIM terrorists — many of them trained in Pakistan.:pound::pound:

The joint statement added that India and United States would work together to "prevent terrorist travel and to disrupt global recruitment efforts by expanding intelligence-sharing and operational-level counterterrorism cooperation."

As part of the travel vetting programmesin both countries, India and US had also decided to exchange information on "known and suspected terrorists for travel screening." The likes of David Headley, who conducted numerous reconnaissance trips to India to prepare for the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, could appear on the Indian security radar.

US shares names of 20 terror groups with Pakistan
Anwar Iqbal
Updated November 02, 2017

WASHINGTON: The White House retains a list of 20 terrorist groups that the Trump administration claims are operating in Pakistan and Afghanistan and is believed to have shared this list with Pakistani officials, diplomatic sources told Dawn.

Mr Tillerson told the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Monday that Pakistan was willing to target terrorists if provided specific information about their whereabouts and Washington plans to give Islamabad the opportunity to do so.

Addressing another briefing, Mr Tillerson said the US and Pakistan had been engaged in “a very healthy exchange of information on terrorists” since his visit to Islamabad last week, which aimed at re-enforcing US President Donald Trump’s message to Pakistan to take action against the Taliban and the Haqqani network.

He said the information that the US delegation gave Pakistan went “beyond just names of individuals” and also expected “to receive information” from Pakistan that would be useful in targeting militants”.

The future exchange of information, he said, would go beyond “specific location on any given day of where certain individuals or certain cells may be located.”

The White House list, released on The Washington Post’s demand, includes three types of militants groups: those who launch attacks into Afghanistan, those who attack targets inside Pakistan and those who are focused on Kashmir.

Top on the list is the Haqqani network which, the United States claims, has safe havens in Fata and uses them to launch attacks into Afghanistan. Pakistan strongly rejects the charge, saying that there are no such safe havens inside the country.

Harakatul Mujahideen is a Pakistan-based militant group operating primarily in Kashmir. The US says that group had links to Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda as well.

Jaish-e-Mohammed operates mainly in Kashmir and the liberation of the Indian occupied Kashmir is its declared objective.

Jundullah is associated with the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and was commanded by militant Hakimullah Mehsud, the Emir of TTP until his death in November 2013. It had vowed allegiance to the militant Islamic State group.

The United States identified Lashkar-e-Taiba as one of the largest and most active terrorist organisations in South Asia. Founded in 1987 by Hafiz Saeed, Abdullah Azzam and Zafar Iqbal in Afghanistan, the group had its headquarters in Muridke. It too is focused on Kashmir.

Lashkar-e-Taiba was involved in the 2001 Indian parliament attack and the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Lashkar-i-Jhanghvi, an offshoot of anti-Shia sectarian group Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan, was founded by former SSP activists Riaz Basra, Malik Ishaq, Akram Lahori and Ghulam Rasool Shah.

The US blames this group for committing hundreds of target killings and dozens of mass attacks inside Pakistan.

Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, an umbrella organisation of various militant groups, was based in Fata, but has now relocated to Afghanistan. The US says that the group wants to enforce its own interpretation of Sharia and plans to unite against Nato-led forces in Afghanistan. It has conducted hundreds of terrorist attacks inside Pakistan.

Other groups on the list are: Harakatul Jihadi-i-Islami, Jamaatul Ahrar, Jamaatud Dawa al-Quran and Tariq Gidar Group, which is one of 13 TTP affiliates. The Tariq Gidar Group has been behind some of the deadliest attacks inside Pakistan, including the Dec 16, 2014, massacre at the Army Public School in Peshawar that left 132 schoolchildren and nine staffers dead.

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Commander Nazir Group, Indian Mujahideen, Islamic Jihad Union, Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan ISIS-Khorasan, Al Qaeda in the Indian Sub-Continent and the Turkistan Islamic Party Movement are also on the list. (Wow!)

Pak has become a hell hole of terrorists. But they insist there are NO terror sanctuaries in Pak! One can't wake up a moron who's pretending to sleep.

Here's where the terror camps are in POK which the Pakis deny.......

Recruitment and training camps are in Red. Launch pads are marked in yellow.

US Congressman calls for more vetting of people coming from Pakistan

A top American lawmaker today called for "more vetting" of people coming in the US from Pakistan, blaming the country of having large terrorist presence.

President Donald Trump yesterday vowed that he will terminate the popular green card lottery after an ISIS- inspired Uzbek man who entered the US under the programme killed eight people in New York in the deadliest terror attack in the country since 9/11.

"If a person is coming from a country which has a strong terrorist presence, there should be more intense vetting and investigation than there would be from someone not coming from a country similar to that," Congressman Peter King told CNN in an interview.

"Pakistan has a large terrorist presence. They have sent 800 people to Syria to fight alongside ISIS. In that case, there should be more vetting. How you define it is more than you do in the ordinary case," he said.

"...The lottery system itself, to me, it's worked. It's gotten good people into this country. In my experience, in New York, they've gone on to become very productive people," he said.

Igniting a political battle, Trump said the attacker Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, who ploughed a pickup truck down a crowded bike path near the World Trade Centre, was allowed to enter the US on a State Department programme known as the "Diversity Lottery Programme".

Even if sanctions are placed on Masood Azhar by the UN, is it going to stop the ISI from using the Jaish to keep fingering India? Nope! Look at what's happening in the Hafiz case who has been sanctioned/banned by the UN. He's still alive and kicking holding anti India/America/Israeli rallies in the heart of Pak and who continues to send his cohorts into Kashmir with the help of the ISI.

So putting Masood Azhar on the UN banned list will make no difference. All these are just gimmicks. The Porkis must be laughing their asses off instead, seeing the discomfiture of India.

So is Zawahiri in Karachi as known by US intel. agencies.

Its not about getting them per se. but its also about using them as a pawn in the larger game to contain "some" nations diplomatically and economically.
Let some deny and protect the most wanted heads :D
Terrorism is a multi headed hydra and taking down one head doesnt mean it ends there. India knows it well more than anyone else.
So, we have to believe that there is something more at play here.

Centre asks Jammu Kashmir govt to stop ads to newspapers publishing 'anti-national articles'

Home Ministry, according to Hindustan Times, has told the state government that some publications were publishing “highly radicalised content, glamorising militants and anti-national elements”.]

The Centre has written to the Mehbooba Mufti-led government in the state to deal strictly with such newspapers, said the report.

In a letter dated October 18, 2017 and addressed to senior officials of the state government and the Jammu & Kashmir police, the home ministry says: “It is understood that some newspapers in J&K are publishing highly radicalised content. This is against the Constitution of India as well as the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir.”

The letter further says, “...publishing of anti-national articles in the newspapers of the state should be strictly dealt with. Such newspapers should also not be given any patronage by way of advertisements by the state government. This may be circulated to all concerned for strict compliance.”

According to the report, the Home ministry officials declined comment.

The note, it said, was sent few days after the central government appointed former Intelligence Bureau chief Dineshwar Sharma as its special representative to start a dialogue in the state by engaging all political parties and stakeholders.

Targeted killings in Punjab an ISI conspiracy: Capt Amarinder Singh | India News

NEW DELHI: The Punjab government on Tuesday said that the targeted killings being carried out in the state for more than a year now were part of a conspiracy hatched by Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI.

"Breakthrough in targeted killings with arrest of 4, conspiracy was hatched by #ISI on foreign soil to spread communal disturbances," chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh tweeted.

He was referring to the killings of Amit Arora, Shiv Sena leader Durgadas Gupta, RSS leader Jagdish Gagneja, Sri Hindu Takht official Amit Sharma, Dera Sacha Sauda followers Satpal and Ramesh Kumar, Pastor Sultan Masih, and RSS leader Ravinder Gosain.

The CM added that with the arrests, the cases in Ludhiana, Khanna and Jalandhar had been solved, and that one of the four suspects was a gangster lodged in jail.

"They were using encrypted mobile software/apps for communication with handlers based in Pak, western countries; were trained abroad," he said.

The DGP of Punjab said that a nexus exists between gangsters who provide youngsters weapons and radicalise them, ANI reported.

CBI investigators had some weeks ago begun to suspect that the murders were all part of a series of political killings in Punjab by Sikh radicals, based on the use of the same lethal weapons, identical modus operandi, and similar victim profile, a report in The Economic Times had said.

"Inquiries have revealed that Sikh radicals consider Saturday to be a significant day for carrying out their operations," a senior official had said.

Furthermore, the assailants in these cases came on a motorcycle with their faces covered and shot at the victims at close range, in what was reminiscent of the insurgency in Punjab, when terrorists came with their faces covered and targeted mainly Hindus in an attempt at polarisation.

NIA on a roll - Arrests 9 and seizes Rs 36 crore in demonetised banknotes linked to Terror Funding

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) seized over Rs 36 crore in demonetised currency notes, allegedly linked to financing of terrorist and separatist activities in Jammu and Kashmir, and arrested nine people on Tuesday.

Seven people were intercepted by an NIA team in Connaught Place area on Monday when they were carrying 28 cartons filled with demonetised Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes in four vehicles - BMW X3, Hyundai Creta SX, Ford EcoSport and BMW X1, an NIA spokesperson said.

They were brought to the NIA headquarters for questioning, he said, adding that Rs 36.34 crore in demonetised currency notes was seized from them.

Later in the evening, three other members of the gang were apprehended.

"After initial questioning, nine people were arrested in the Jammu and Kashmir terror funding case and they will be produced in a special NIA court on Wednesday," an official said.

The arrested are Delhi residents Pradeep Chauhan, Bhagwan Singh and Vinod Shreedhar Shetty, Deepak Toprani of Mumbai, Ejajul Hassan of Amroha, Jaswinder Singh of Nagpur, and Jammu and Kashmir-residents Umar Mushtaq Dar (Pulwama), Shahnawaz Mir (Srinagar) and Majid Yousuf Sofi (Anantnag).

The spokesperson said that agency got an input about their activities while investigating a case relating to the financing of terror activities in Kashmir Valley.

During the probe, he said, it emerged that people and entities linked to separatists and terrorists were still in possession of a significant amount of demonetised currency notes that could not be converted into new ones.

"Surveillance was mounted on such persons and entities. This led to unearthing of a conspiracy wherein a gang of such persons were making an attempt to convert this demonetised money into valid currency (notes)," the official said.
