1. independent houses or villas in CHina usually are located in suburban area,instead of such urban area.

2.independent houses or villas cost so much that more ordianry chinese like me can not afford it.

BTW, measured by population,Ganzhou is the second or third biggest city in Jiangxi province..but if measured by per capital GDP, Ganzhou is the poorest one of prefecture cities in Jiangxi province......

Jiangxi has 11 prefectures altogether and Ganzhou prefecture is one of them.

Ganzhou prefecture is almost the poorest one of the 11 prefectures,because its per nominal capital GDP is only about 2000-3000 USD,only 50% of CHIna's average per capital nominal GDP....while hundreds of coastal CHinese cities has 10K+ USD of per catipal nominal GDP.

Yes the northern parts being neglected for long suddenly seem to have massive construction boom. The builders have destroyed some wonderful natural beauty and created a temporary monstrosity. Nature will one day reclaim it anyway.
