A good sign more and more muslim parents send their child for education.
But UP's muslim entrolment is very poor its 10.43%.
But UP's muslim percentage is 19%.
When other states muslims comes for education why they are so backward when they have highest number of muslim mp,mla, minister than any other states and often behave like represnting of indian muslim.

Is the above data total % of muslim kids enrolled in primary level out of the total Muslim kids with age belonging in that category ? If, yes then it's a dismal figure.

@maomao no it is not what you think.
Those % indicate among total primary level student of a state how many are muslim.
For example in my state muslim entrolment in primary level is 31.67%.
That means among total primary level student of west bengal 31.67%are muslim

shuridh bhai, tu census department main kaam karta hai kya re.... :)

On topic, Muslims in states like Kerala with high literacy have equal or more literacy than Hindus. Uttar Pradesh has low literacy for all sections of society, how can you expect Muslims to have any better stats.

Yes up people are educationally backward.
But uttar pradesh muslim are more backward.
Muslim entrolment in up 10.43% means.
Among total primary level student of up 10.43% are muslim.
But muslim are 18.5% of up in census 2001.
When in all india muslim entrolment is 13.04%.
That means among total primary level student 13.04% are muslim.
When muslim are 13.43% of india in census 2001.
Do you understand why i worried for uttar pradesh muslim's educational status.

Note:those data are indicating percentage of muslim among total student in primary level by states

Ok. Consider literacy rate of Amethi, Uttar Pradesh is overall 39% (31% for women), if Muslim literacy rate is low here so it is for all other sections of society.

But what is the aim of this thread. Are you implying Muslims are discriminated against in India ? I do believe all sections of society in India have a fair chance at success. In fact deprived sections and minorities have greater support from the state than others.

@parjitaka i am not saying muslim are discriminate in india.
Pleas see the positive sign in my post i am saying when all indian muslim comes for education apert from up.
If there was discrimination it won't be possible.
See my state here muslim entrolment 31.67%.when muslim percentage is 25.25%.
I am trying to say when all indian muslim are concentrate on education.
Up muslim should also come for it.
I am criticising their lack of interest in education.
I am wondering why despite being highest number muslim mp,mla, minister, they often appear as representative of whole indian muslim why they are lagging behind than other state muslim in education.they are becoming most backward muslim community in india educationaly.
In other state the percentage of school going muslim student among total muslim student and percentage of school going non muslim student among total non muslim student is same.
But up is the only exception.
Where we see percentage of school going muslim student among total muslim child has big differance compare to percentage of school going non muslim student among total non muslim child.
I am saying they should come for education like other state muslim.
They don't come yet for it till now that why i am worry about their educational status.
I am also comparing their education status with other state muslim.
    All my thread were informative.
And apert from up i am saying indian muslim understanding the need of education.
    Thats a good positive sign
96%muslim child now go primary level in wb state but only 50% muslim child now go primary level in up.
I am wondering the reason why they are not going to school.
    Don't say poverty the reason.
According to sachar commitie muslim of west bengal poorer than muslim of up.
Don't read post in negative mindset try to understand what i am saying.
I am not saying goi discriminating.pleas don't come to wrong conclution.

This list is useless without knowing what % of each state population Muslims make up. Perhaps that chart could be posted too?

Is there a different curriculum for madrasa? What is the level of difficulty compared to state board SSC or CBSE?
