amit ignorance of law is no excuse, as Ray sir has said correctly girl below 16 (14 in Manipur) it will be statutory rape, means even if girl tgive consent Law will not accept her consent and would charge the man or boy in this case with statutory rape.
Even if girl says that she is above 16 but she is not even then rape. (so you guys need to be careful).
If the girl is someone's wife then she should be 15 years old, or else it is rape.

I don't know that, but I do know that one is deemed innocent until proven guilty.

Btw Generally speaking there have been a number of instances when a female is consensual first and later turns the table.
An accusation of rape can get sympathy as a victim rather than an immoral consensual collaborator.

If the girl is a minor, then it is statutory rape, but not necessarily rape, as in the consent (or lack thereof) point of view.

If the boy is a minor, then it won't be that bad for the boy. I am pretty sure both the girl and the boy enjoyed each other's company before things took a more serious turn.
