Indonesian suicide bomb latest in string of Ramadan attacks
By Kathy Quiano, Masur Jamaluddin, and Tiffany Ap, CNN

Updated 0817 GMT (1617 HKT) July 5, 2016

Jakarta, Indonesia (CNN)A suicide bomber died Tuesday morning when he tried to enter police headquarters in the central Javanese city of Solo, Indonesia, authorities said.

The attacker tried to get inside on a motorcycle. When officers tried to stop him, he detonated explosives, Central Police Grand Commissioner Aloysius Liliek Darminto told CNN.
The attacker was killed and one police officer was injured in the attack, Liliek said.
Ramadan violence

"We are still investigating this and it's too early to tell who is the perpetrator and which group is behind this terror attack," he told CNN.
Tuesday's bombing in Indonesia -- which is home to more Muslims than any other country in the world -- is the latest in a string of attacks across the globe during the holy month of Ramadan.
The terror group ISIS vowed to shed more blood during the holiday, and so far there have been deadly incidents in Turkey, Bangladesh, Iraq and Saudi Arabia in the last week, though ISIS has not been responsible for all of them.
Ramadan ends Tuesday in many parts of the world.

More attacks in Asia
ISIS has been trying to grow its footprint in Asia recently.
The group carried out its first successful attack in Malaysia Monday and has claimed responsibility for last week's deadly attack in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka, something thatthe government denies.

Solo, located on the island of Java, is the hometown of Indonesia's President Joko Widodo. It is also home to some of Indonesia's Islamic hardliners, including jailed radical cleric Abu Bakar Baasyir, who pledged allegiance to ISIS in 2014.

Spate of terror attacks as Ramadan draws to a close

Widodo, who was in Padang, Sumatra in western Indonesia when the bombing occurred, addressed the attacks on TV.
"We hope the public will remain calm, as we devotedly enter the last day of the fasting month of Ramadan," he said. "There is no need to be afraid, in the face of these acts of terror."
Widodo asked police to investigate the incident and to go after the network behind the attack.
He also condemned the attacks in Bangladesh, Iraq and Saudi Arabia saying, "any act of terrorism, for whatever reason, cannot be tolerated".
Wave of Muslim condemnation
Monday's suicide bombing near the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi mosque in Saudi Arabia, one of three that occurred during in a 24 hour span in the country, was especially shocking to the Muslim world.
The explosion took place in Medina, the second-holiest place in Islam after Mecca, took place at a mosque with great historical importance -- it was built the the Islamic prophet Muhammad -- as a crowd gathered for iftar, the meal that breaks Muslims' daily fast.
The bombing triggered condemnation from a handful of Muslim states.

Medina bombing is an assault on Islam itself
"There are no more red lines left for terrorists to cross," Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Twitter. "Sunnis, Shiites will both remain victims unless we stand united as one."
Pakistan also denounced the attack.
"The government and the people of Pakistan are in deep anguish over the tragedy and extend their heartfelt condolences to the brotherly government and people of Saudi Arabia over the loss of innocent lives," the country's Foreign Ministry said in a news release.

There was a siege of Mecca in 1979 by hardliners. One of the outcomes of that event was that Saud family will look away when hardliners become mainstream. Al-Qaida and now ISIS are a result of mainstreaming of Saudi religious hardliners.

If Saud family gives into the blackmail again, this story is not over yet. There might be another version of these violent groups again. And the cycle repeats it self.

owaisi, a shia, offers to help ISIL fcuks!

i had been through a shia forum-page some months back. there the a$$wipes were discussing that sunnis are their brothers while Hindus etc the common kafir enemies.

i laugh when someone even well-meaning like Modi, irfan khan, etc., begin their speech/comment saying "islam (has) always stood for peace, love, empathy, justice, blah blah...."; but perhaps, ignorance works.
i have read that quite a few muslims who learnt about mohd's atrocities through authentic non-biased sources turned atheists. however i dont think islam would get over by/when muslims turn away from it. thats now not practically possible apparently. it/its vestiges will remain in some form or the other. either it'd require a mass-cleansing in a global tragedy, or it'll be the prime-factor marking the end of Kaliyug with total destruction. doesnt sound politically correct, isnt it?!

BTW thanks, learnt about the yazidis now. one correction though, they dont follow islamic practices. an article:

Sir, Yezidis are the Crypto vedantics of the ME. They were forced to convert to islam. Leave that whole of Kurds and Turks followed vedic culture and this is a historical fact!

ISIS openly advocates destruction of Mecca. I hope they succeed.

Moronic Left academicians funded by foreign institutes and churches have created a havoc and dearth of knowledge of our own country's far reaching traditions and history! These imported ideologies such as marxism has undermined India's influence for example by stating the Vedic traditions started only after Harrapa was destroyed; a Lie they still peddle without any shame!

The same Wahhabi poison the Saudis have been pushing through out the world has come home to roost in these terrorist attacks. Like Pakistan's support for jihadis, they eventually turn on you.

There was a Blast in Shia Dominated Locality on Baghdad a few days back which has killed more than 200 people!

Check the intensity of the blast and you can't imagine the hate mulsims have with fellow muslims be it Shia, Ahmedi, Yazidis (Dharmics forced to accept islamic practices), etc etc!

There is something majorly wrong with islam and not muslims in particular! The clerics and mullahs across the spectrum are same be it Sunni or Shia, they kill each other then they kill Proud Kuffar to prove their islamic credentials!

Islam seems to be based on killings, plundering, rape and expansionism - past 1400 yrs and present proves this!
The below pic says all.

btw Paki link is CONFIRMED in this Saudi Holy Blast and no wonder since Pakis are behind almost all Terrorism around the world.

Pakistani carried out bombing in Jeddah: Saudi ministry

RIYADH: A suicide bomber who blew himself up near the United States consulate in Jeddah early Monday has been identified as a Pakistani citizen, the Saudi interior ministry said on Tuesday. The ministry identified the man as 35-year-old Abdullah Gulzar Khan, who worked as a driver in the kingdom.Khan had been living with his wife and her parents in Jeddah for 12 years, the interior ministry said in a tweet.

Early on Monday, security officers became suspicious of a man near the parking lot of Dr Suleiman Faqeeh Hospital in Jeddah, which is directly across from the US diplomatic mission. When they moved in to investigate “he blew himself up with a suicide belt inside the hospital parking”. Two security officers were lightly injured in the incident.Interior ministry spokesman General Mansour al-Turki had told state Al-Ekhbaria news channel that the bomber was closer to a mosque in the area than to the consulate. The ministry said in the statement published on the official SPA news agency that the bomber's explosive belt had “partially” exploded. The US embassy in Riyadh reported no injuries among the consulate staff.

A picture carried by the Sabq online newspaper, which is close to authorities, showed a large body part lying on the ground between a taxi and the open door of another car that was peppered with holes. The attack coincided with the US July 4 Independence Day holiday.

Very interesting comments by Muslims all over the world.

When Non-Muslims were killed and Temples were destroyed since 7th century they were silent(rather HAPPY) BUT now they are saying "This is Evil, this is not Islam" since they are at the receiving end by the same terrorists they supported.

See the reaction of these bloody shameless HYPOCRITICAL idiots.
