Steven Patrick Morrissey (born 22 May 1959), known as Morrissey, is an English singer and lyricist. He rose to prominence in the 1980s as the lyricist and vocalist of the band The Smiths.

His tirade does make one believe that the English are a quixotic lot and rather eccentric!

    Why spoil the show?

There are people who couldn't give a crap about major event's when there staged in London ,the bitterness they feel seeps out.

Having spoken to people before the olympics started ,lot's off them felt it was a huge waste of money that's being spent when where essentially broke.

Where borrowing something like 20% off the total the government will spend just this year ,more then £100 billion .

If the Olympics was staged in Manchester i bet he would feel differently ,the legacy of the games will only benefit London so don't expect all to be happy
when huge amount's off £££ has been poured in to it.

One last thing certain people get very catty when they get overlooked to play a role ,i'm just wondering weather he wanted to be involved in the opening
    ceremony .
