Modi takes jibe at Mamata over her ‘paper tiger’ comment

Three days back, Banerjee had taken swipe at Modi, saying there was a difference between a 'paper tiger' and a Royal Bengal Tiger.

Taking a jibe at Mamata Banerjee over her “paper tiger” comment, Narendra Modi on Sunday said that a real tiger is one who jails those involved in the Sharada chit fund scam and gets back money of the poor.

Modi also said that Banerjee’s attack on him would not deter him in helping Bengal if BJP comes to power at the Centre and a strong BJP government would also ensure that the West Bengal Chief Minister does her job seriously. “A tiger is the one who sends those involved in Sharada chit fund scam to jail, investigate the matter and get back the money of the poor.

“I am surprised. Didi, why are you afraid of a paper tiger. If a paper tiger has proved this costly for her, then what will happen if a real tiger comes before you,” Modi said while addressing a rally here. The BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate said the real tigers of Bengal were its youth.

Three days back, Banerjee had taken swipe at Modi, saying there was a difference between a ‘paper tiger’ and a Royal Bengal Tiger. Modi said that “Didi’s” attack on him will not be an impediment for Bengal and its development, if BJP comes to power.”

The Gujarat Chief Minister said that he does not believe in politics of “revenge” (badla), but politics of “badlav”(change). “Didi has bad-mouthed me, launched attacks and levelled false charges. But let me assure you that I will serve people of Bengal and work for them. I believe in politics of change and not revenge,” he said, adding that Bengal had suffered injustice for 60 years because of the central government.

The West Bengal Chief Minister and Modi have engaged in verbal slugfest over several issues and have launched vitrolic attacks on each other.

Appealing to the voters, Modi said that if BJP is elected to power, it will be a double profit for the people of Bengal.

“I am giving you a formula. If a strong BJP government comes to power at the Centre then Didi also has to stop her drama and show some seriousness in running the government. “If I make 100 kms of roads, then she has to at least make 10 kms of road. If I build 1 lakh houses then she has to build 10,000 houses,” he said.

“Then you (people of Bengal) will have ‘rasgulla’ in both hands. Let Modi also work for Bengal and Didi also work. Let the difference be known, let there be a competition. Lets see who works better, we will get to know who is a real tiger,” the BJP prime ministerial candidate said.

Criticising the law and order situation in the state, he said West Bengal was among the top three states in the country with high rate of atrocities against women. “Where there is a government of ‘paper tiger’ (in Gujarat), there mother-daughter are safe,” Modi said.

Mamata is on a sticky wicket as far as the Sharada scheme is concerned since it appears that the trail leads back to TMC.

Obviously raising the Sharada Scheme that has made many, to include even the low income people, penniless does strike a chord with the people of Bengal. No surprise that this has riled and scared Ms Bannerjee.

TMC has terrorised voters of Bengal enough to guarantee its victory. Only something dramatic, like Centre dissolving WB assembly, or Left comeback in the next polls, can dislodge that shizo-b1tch.

Condition of Bengal seems to be worse than many other such states ruled by seculars like Mulayam's UP and Nitish's Bihar.

Try not to pick a fight with Mamata. That is a good advice to you Mr. Modi.

She has picked fights with almost everybody and each time it wasted time and yielded nothing. Not only that have no political alliance with her, remembering that she has left NDA, UPA and very soon the third front, if is ever formed.

It took me a while to figure out that she is dependent on Muslim Bangladeshi votes. The latter are masquerading as Bengal patriots and supporting her party. Let this fact be known to the people of Bengal. Rest the Bengali of Kolkata will do at the next election.

It's like a mad barking dog which everyone avoids.

MODI rather gets a rabies injection.

She is responsible of illegal Bangladeshis who are involved in crime from Delhi to Mumbai to Chennai.

That would not be true, but Mamata Bannerjee's irresponsible remarks and the wild behaviour of her cadres is not acceptable.

Teesta is an important aspect for the survival of the Bhagirathi, but it can at the same time, be worked out through mutual dialogue. That must be understood by all concerned dealing with this issue.

Teesta also involves Nepal waters that flow into the Ganga and Nepal should also be included in the dialogue.

Narendra Modi dares Election Commission to act against him

Bangladeshi Migrants : ‘Those who observe Durgashtami can stay... will deport the others’

Bhartiya Janata Party prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi targeted the Election Commission on Sunday, accusing it of not acting impartially and daring it to take action against him.

“I am levelling a serious charge against the Election Commission. You have failed to stop rigging and violence in West Bengal, Bihar and parts of western Uttar Pradesh,” said Modi, addressing a rally in Asansol.

“Why are you not acting? What is your intention? If you feel what I am saying now is wrong, then you are free to lodge another case against me… Democracy doesn’t work like this. I know how much rigging took place in the elections on May 30… Isn’t it the EC’s responsiblity to conduct peaceful and fair polls,” said Modi.

He raised the same issue at a rally in Allahabad later in the day. “The EC is supposed to be the umpire in an election.

There is the IB’s report with you (EC) that elements involved in rigging and booth-capturing are active… We had warned earlier also, but still rigging has taken place,” he said.

Asserting that he was making a “serious allegation from a public forum”, he said, “I request the officials of the EC here to send this tape to the commission at the earliest. If this amounts to an offence, you have my permission to register another FIR against me. I will be going to Ahmedabad from here and addressing people through the 3D sabha. I will talk openly about the rights of voters.”

Modi’s attack came days after the EC ordered action against him for allegedly violating electoral laws by displaying his party symbol and delivering a “political speech” minutes after casting his vote.

Addressing the EC, Modi said, “You can have peaceful elections in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, but you will not get the credit. It is only when you ensure peaceful and fair elections in states like Bengal, UP and Bihar, that you will get the credit.”

At his rallies in Bankura and Asansol in West Bengal, Modi accused both the Congress and the Trinamool Congress of indulging in rigging. “False cases have been filed against our candidate Babul Supriyo. The EC’s work is to protect people,” he said. “In Delhi, ma-beta created a scam-India… in Bengal, Didi made a scam-Bengal.”

Targeting West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, he said he would make her stop all her “natakbazi” if the BJP comes to power at the Centre. “If you elect me, you will have rasgullas in both hands. If there is a strong and powerful government at the Centre, Didi will have to stop all her natakbazi in West Bengal and run her government seriously,” he said.

Referring to Mamata’s earlier attack on him, Modi said, “You call me a paper tiger, but you have not faced the real tiger. If you had been the real tiger, you would have jailed the Saradha scamsters Real tigers do not allow people to rob the poor of their hard-earned money.”

He also raised the issue of Bangladeshis coming to India. “Those who observe Durgashtami, they are a part of our Hindustan and they will stay here. But we will deport those who are infiltrators,” he said, referring to Bangladeshi Muslims.

Modi also accused the TMC of indulging in a friendship with the CPI(M) and Congress in Delhi and fighting them in Bengal. “It’s dosti in Delhi and kusti in Bengal. But you cannot hoodwink people for a long time,’’ he said.
