The so called 'intellects' are of the elite English speaking class of all hues of Indians, who mainly inhabit the capital, where the Power to shape India hovers and thus intrigues are played out basically to garner power and influence and play power brokers through opinion building, gossip, propaganda and so on.

It is a cosy English speaking enchanted circle.

With the advent of Modi has upset this cosy elitist club of so called 'intellectuals', given Modi's so called 'rustic' and non English background and his remain aloof and insulated from these power brokers.

This isolation has added to their vigour of their already established dislike, nay hatred of Modi.

Therefore, there is nothing new in the concentrated vitriol that is sent Modi's way.

Amartya Sen is one of the leading hypocrites and sooner he is begone to foreign shores, the better.

All this simply adds to the significance of this parliament session, budget and reforms such as the LA ordinance. If street violence leads to significant dilution or backtracking on the reform agenda, then it truly means this government is weaker than expected.

The song and dance that goes on in the media and on the roads can be set aside and laughed off as long as it does not impact the on-goings in the parliament. If that happens, we are screwed.

Yeah, that's what I was about to say on the other land acquisition thread.

Let the Mullahyams and Annas and Yogendras keep screaming their lungs out. We need the bill passed at the end of the day.
