Patna: In what could be termed as a shocking case of brazen mob justice, a young woman was manhandled and her clothes torn apart at the Exhibition Road of Bihar’s capital Patna on Thursday.
Visuals caught on camera showed miscreants trying to tear the girl’s attire.
Sources said that the woman was in a restaurant with his boyfriend when some miscreants caught hold of the couple and dragged them on road.
The mob then beat up the boy and tore the clothes of the woman in presence of hundreds of onlookers. The woman was then chased by them.
Reflecting upon the state’s sorry law and order condition, the incident occurred in broad daylight and there was not a single policeman presenting the area. What was more disgusting was that despite a huge crowd of onlookers present, no one came to rescue the girl who kept struggling and shouting for help.
This shameful incident shows that Nitish Kumar’s claim of good governance and law and order still needs to see daylight.
