Whats this missile found by fishermen? Could be a target or an actual tested missile itself, Would be interesting to find out if it was a successful test or a failed one
My question would be who paid the fishermen to pull this out of the sea....

Size of the wreckage does not look like it can be hauled up by fishing nets....

If DRDO wanted the wreckage they wouldn't send fishermen, it must be somebody else. Someone got so curious that about the sonic boom that they had to pay fishermen to retrieve the components..

I doubt DRDO can keep an eye on almost 10000 sq km of test area.

Dont say that drdo can't track its own objects down in sea. Which can reveal many imp secrets to hooligans

If fishermen are finding missile components, it certainly looks like DRDO doesn't have a policy in place. Doesn't it?

Not really. Salvaging missile part is not a big deal. If DRDO or any other testing agency would have done some top secret test, they would have already deployed a salvaging team beforehand at the splash site. What you are saying is true to cold war era, but as of now, there is nothing for India in missile tech to hide off.
If it would have been some ultra secretive tech demonstration or test, be assured that a salvage team would have been there at site.

so they hit a prithvi by a astra.............

good !!
No, it only means that an old Prithvi missile was found from the sea. Prithvi if it was used as a target, would have been brought down by PAD/AAD and not Astra IMHO.
