Missile test NOTAMs

What are we going to test tomorrow? Any guesses?

I had thought like some other members that one of the interceptors of the BMD system is going to be tested today. Instead an user trial of the Prithvi-2 was conducted.

Tomorrow, we may see an user trial of the K-15 SRBM either from a submerged test pontoon off the coast or the INS Arihant itself. Even if the launch takes place from the Arihant we are never going to know.

AD-1/2 of phase 2 of the BMD program wont be test fired until and unless the missile tracking,instrumentation and telemetry ship enters service. Saurav Jha once said talked about a new conventional SSM ,Pralay based on the PDV. Maybe its going to be tested tomorrow. Even the Agni-1P may be test fired. Nothing comes close to the excitement that comes from test launch of an under development missile and especially if the missile is from the BMD program.

Too early for Arighat to be firing a K-4 & too late for Arihant to do this..... So

In emergency can't this pontoon itself be used to launch nuclear missiles? Can someone detect where the pontoon is with huge coastline India has.

Guess what 8-12 pontoons near Gujarat or Maharashtra coastal waters and Porkistan should be covered and all nuke submarines for lizard only. And we can have cost effective detterance.

Better to have land based missiles then:/
What's the use of pontoon which will usually be sailing on sea. I don't think these remain submerged for long durations and travel far away. Easy to detect and destroy.
