On 17 June 2013, while underway from Singapore to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with a cargo of 4,382 containers equivalent to 7,041 TEU, the vessel suffered a crack amidships in bad weather about 200 nautical miles (370 km; 230 mi) off the coast of Yemen and eventually broke into two. The crew of 26—11 Russians, one Ukrainian and 14 Filipinos—abandoned the ship and was rescued from two life rafts and a lifeboat by the German-flagged container ship Yantian Express, one of three vessels diverted to the site of incident by ICG Mumbai.[3][4][5]

While some containers may have been lost, as of 23 June 2013 both sections of the vessel remain afloat with the majority of the cargo still onboard. A salvage company has been contracted and tugboats are en route to tow the two sections, which are drifting in East-Northeast direction, and the remaining cargo to safety. In addition, a patrol boat is expected to arrive at the scene on 24 June.[6] There have been no reports of an oil spill.

References to above article say Mol Comfort was proceeding from Saudi Arabia to Singapore. Makes story about cargo of arms for FSA seem unlikely.

Torpedo attack cannot be hidden, very unlikely... Torpedo blast would have lit up all sonars in Arabian Sea like Christmas trees.

Rogue wave or sabotage via internal delayed chemical corrosion much likely.

However, according to MOL Comfort has split but is still afloat - Lloyd's Loading List it was westbound to Jeddah of Saudi

The 2008-built, 8,110 teu MOL Comfort, owned and operated by MOL on Loop 1 of the G6 alliance's Asia-north Europe service, was sailing from Singapore to Jeddah at about 0700 hrs local time when the casualty occurred at 012° 33´N, 59° 46´E.

Indeed but yanks will eventually send arms to al-qaida.

Ships dont break up just like that...someone sabotaged it.
Really, M., read about rogue waves. Ships the size of Mol Comfort or larger have disappeared completely, leaving not a trace.

(And CIA was moving arms from Libya to rebels in Syria since last year.)

As of the last update from MOL, the fire is not yet under control due to adverse weather in the area. The salvage company has requested firefighting assistance of the Indian Coast Guard, and their patrol boat Samudra Prahari, which is equipped with a powerful external firefighting system.

The Indian Coast Guard has brought the blaze under control. Cooling operations are currently underway and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines will begin the salvage operation once the process is complete. A Coast Guard ship has been assigned to monitor and render assistance.

The fire was detected by a Coast Guard chopper on Saturday while the ship was being towed to Oman.

The secondary role includes peace time patrolling, firefighting and salvage. For maritime law enforcement, EEZ surveillance, anti smuggling, fishery protection, search & rescue and high speed interdiction it is equipped with CRN 91 Naval Gun, light helicopter, five High Speed Boats and four Water Scooters. An Infra Red Surveillance System is also installed onboard providing additional capability for the ship's crew to detect targets in the night. The vessels are also equipped with fire fighting and salvage systems.
Samudra Prahari is CG-2-1
