Yes. Your imagination seems right on money. The way geopolitics is shaping up.....India will most likely in the same camp as Russia, China, Brazil, Iran,Vietnam, Indonesia , Argentina, Venezuala etc.
Pakistan either will get closer and closer to West plus Saudi Arabia, Jordan,Phillipines etc. Turkey is wild card as nationalist Erdogan doesnot like West.
Egypt remains a mystery as we don't know yet how will it turn out later.
Japan is slowly moving away from the clutches of West but is still so tightly gripped that it will take a long time for it to be free to have independent policy. Same with South Korea but talk of reunification of Korea is picking speed lately.
Central Asia is still fully aligned with Russia for security and protection and will likely to integrate trade wise with India once CHA BAHAR port and the highway through Iran connects India to Central Asia and southern part of Russia. West dislikes Nationalists in India as they can not be manipulated or intimidated easily. But, West does want huge future Indian market and will not give up on India.
One more possibility, Paki might change as China may prod it to join RIC block. China can convince Paki that the most logical and proper choice is to stop terrorism and join the trade with neighbors. Let's wait and see whether West still thinks Paki can be used against the Giants.
Rule is: Follow the money. India-China annual trade is about 100 billion.and fast growing. China-Paki trade is 11 billion. That says something about China willing to be a friend and a good neighbor.
