There is also the chance that many Indians may baulk at the prospect.

And Modi will still not be able to go to the US for parleys or even the UN!!

Frankly he doesn't care about them much. What he cares is only Gujarat and ultimately India now.Other countries have to call him because he has great influences internationally, too.Just see, canada and japan are the partners for Vibrant Gujarat.

Sometimes, I wish he remains CM of Gujarat for 5 more years.Kyonki wo chala jayega to Gujarat ka kya hoga....

And how do you know that ?? And @bold, what do you really mean ?? If that their way is Modi's way, I think only morons would deny it.

Hopefully an administrator and not a politician. Modi was an administrator and did his job in governance. Look at the CM in maharashtra who has to run around to save his seat rather than run the state.

Sanjay Joshi? no its a big question mark I think. Modi has been an undisputed leader so far and whoever has tried to rise against him has fallen by the wayside. What started as a wave for the BJP in Gujarat is now a Modi wave. Galaxy claims the same for BSY in Karnataka though I disagree. But if true, it means tough times ahead for the BJP.

I have nothing against shorts - khaki or otherwise.

It saves cloth and with the way the temperatures are soaring in East India and people dying because of the heat, shorts are sure a good thing to allow air to circulate.

However, there are many who feel uncomfortable with the image that Modi has, be it a media spin or be it a reality.

Until he is totally exonerated of all the labels given to him, many will be queasy to have him as the PM.

While all would agree he is a go-getter, yet quite a few people would find it difficult to reconcile that he can be a PM.

Actually Modi as a PM can be our next "Indira Gandhi". For a change we will have a man with balls than depending on a female with balls :D

Sir , Modi won't get US Visas till UPA government is in power, if they fails to form next government then no dramas for Modi to get US Visa.

btw, US may join next Vibrant Gujarat Summit as a partner country of Gujarat.
Then there will be three partner countries of the state, Canada, Japan and US.

His not getting a visa has nothing to do with the UPA but the nuts in the US admin. But once he does become the PM, the US will have no option but to welcome him. Who knows, the first person to invite Modi to visit them after becoming the PM will be the US president himself!!

I have a sneaking feeling that the US likes Modi, but they are merely being PC.

Iraq, Afghanistan, Guantanamo is not very different, or is it?

YB, Congress government tried this in past a lot more time, they used their power as government and keep pressure on New Zealand government to stop the RSS functions in New Zealand. I have to find the article,if you want, I will post it.

And there is an article already posted on DFI, it is a Canadian Diplomat's comments. Which says that if you are with Modi, then you won't get much support from Indian government, (read UPA).
