LUCKNOW: Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi, BJP on Sunday said that the Congress general secretary should be made the Prime Minister for the remaining two years of the UPA rule so that people can judge his ability.

"Let Rahul Gandhi become the Prime Minister...two years term is still left...let people know how much ability he has to run the country," BJP national general secretary and chief spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters here.

"More so, he does not need anything to become the PM, he only needs to ask Manmohan Singh to step down," he added.

Prasad also accused Congress, SP and BSP of poralising Muslim votes.

"Population of UP is 20 crore... whether the minorities alone are the voters... this is deeply unfortunate," the BJP leader said.

Meanwhile, reacting to BJP's attack Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said Prasad's suggestion indicates the party's acceptance of Rahul's ability to serve as the Prime Minister of the country.

"Prasad has accepted the reality. BJP knows the leadership ability of Rahul Gandhi very well and it's defeat reflects from this statement," he said.

Confidant of Congress' victory in all the five poll bound states, Singhvi said that Rahul's leadership was like a storm of victory in the poll ground.

In a reply to a question the Congress leader said that a delegation led by him met officials of the Election Commission in which the issue of notice to law minister Salman Khurshid on his statement on Muslim reservation was also raised.

That will be a good thing for Rahul Gandhi since it will give him experience in running a country!

Was that sarcasm? Do you want India to become Somalia or Sudan? We're not guinea pigs for heavens sake. Would never prefer to be under that Italian mongrel. Even if we have to fight for it.

Good strategy by think-tank of BJP. :D

Rahul Gandhi already has majority. It's easy to become PM. Anyway, He will become PM sooner or later. So why he is waiting when it's bound to happen ?? Congress should fulfil their most awaited desire.

By this way, we will able to see his performance. As of now, he's good for nothing. let competition begins between Rahul and Modi/Other leader from BJP. So that people can decide after seeing the performance of all leaders. :)

From the Bhatta-parasul situation we can understand that Congress is misreading the ground situation. If they had give the ticket to RLD they might have had better chance of winning

He can't prove his credibility by wearing various religious and ethnic symbolic cloths and caps. I am sure, He is not Joker. He should start working as P.M. so that we might get a P.M. and not Puppet. Taking lunch at Dalit house won't make any difference but taking initiative for betterment of the community will surely do.

Patrick French’s recent book, India: A Portrait, offered this startling revelation about the Indian Parliament:

"Every MP in the Lok Sabha under the age of 30 had in effect inherited a seat, and more than two-thirds of the 66 MPs aged 40 or under were HMPS [Hereditary Members of Parliament]. In addition, this new wave of Indian lawmakers would have a decade’s advantage in politics over their peers, since the average MP who had benefited from family politics was almost 10 years younger than those who had arrived with ‘No Significant Family Background’. In the Congress, the situation was yet more extreme: every Congress MP under the age of 35 was an HMP. If the trend continued, it was possible that most members of the Indian Parliament would be there by heredity alone, and the nation would be back to where it had started before the freedom struggle, with rule by a hereditary monarch and assorted Indian princelings."

I don't know about others. But Gays would surely like him.

Rahul Gandhi becomes the new gay icon

We need a MAN or WOMAN as our Prime Minister. Anyone would be better than current puppet PM. He is speechless, senseless and spineless.

But a clueless and confused personality. As V S Achuthananadan said "He is Amul Gandhi". It's better to follow Leftist and Rightist, Then Confused Centrist :D

While one can agree that Priyanka is cute, Rahul Gandhi is hardly worth a second look by anyone.

And worse is when he opens his mouth!

Incoherent and disjointed ramblings, at best.

Sonia' face is too square as if carved from a block of wood and she seems to be wearing ill fitting contact lenses since she blinks too fast and too many times per minute. See the Republic Day TV broadcast of this year whenever the camera focussed on her.

Or was she trying to avoid the cold touching her eyes lest it became a 'cold stare' and marring her desired 'warm' deportment?

After all, it was her Republic's Day of Joy.

Thats pretty smart of Bjp. Rahul G is a political novice and a greenhorn... Even though he cannot possible do any worse than current MMS, if he becomes PM, all corruption and national issues becomes personal attacks.. BJP probably hopes his political immaturity would come to the national forefront as it happened during Anna Fast 1 and he would be discredited.. But Congress would never be so foolish.
