    These tactics were ahead of his time, and must have made Major Rogers a very effective unit commander. These are the basics that are taught to infantry units in the art of patrolling. Amazing.

    I wish the Marathas had documented their concept of guerilla warfare and tactics.

    There is an old film Northwest Passage about one of Roger's Rangers raids against a Native-American tribe allied with the French during The Seven Years War (French & Indian War in North America).
